Leafs Stay Hot Against Habs
The Maple Leafs will be going for a seventh straight win when they travel to Montreal to face the Habs at the Bell Centre on Monday. Toronto has a six-point lead atop the North Division standings and are facing a Montreal team that has dropped three straight games.
Goaltending has typically been a concern when betting on Toronto, but the emergence of Jack Campbell is starting to change that. The former LA Kings’ net-minder has begun his Maple Leafs’ career with 11 straight victories and is sporting an outstanding .934 save percentage.

Campbell gave up five goals in a 6-5 victory over Ottawa on Saturday, which means he’ll be hungry for a bounce-back showing Monday. Carey Price is injured for the Habs, which means it’ll be Jake Allen against the Leafs. The 30-year-old is struggling right now, suffering three consecutive losses and allowing at least three goals in each contest.
The Leafs have won four of the last five against Montreal are clearly the more confident team right now. Toronto’s loaded power play has been slumping and has a great chance to get off the schneid against the Habs’ 24th ranked PK unit. Expect the special teams mismatch to play a big role in the final score.

Avs And Yotes Produce More Fireworks
The Avalanche and Coyotes are set to clash at Ball Arena on Monday in what will be their first meeting since a 9-3 Colorado win on March 31st. The game got out of hand in the final period, with Nathan MacKinnon being assessed a misconduct for throwing a helmet at Conor Garland.
MacKinnon’s Avs always seem to play their best hockey against Arizona, as they are 9-2-1 in their last 12 games vs the Yotes dating back to the 2020 Return to Play. Colorado has scored a whopping 18 goals in the three most recent meetings and are 6-1 in their last seven games overall.

The Coyotes haven’t been as hot as the Avs, but they’ve been one of the highest-scoring NHL teams of late. Arizona is 6-3-0 in its last nine game and have scored at least three goals in each one of those contests. Conor Garland, Phil Kessel and Clayton Keller all recently hit the 30-point mark and will be factors Monday.
With how thing ended in the last meeting, this game should have plenty more fireworks. The “over” has cashed in three straight meetings between the two clubs and has also hit in seven of each team’s last 10 games overall. With how well both offenses are playing, expect another high-scoring and spirited battle Monday.
