Odds as of May 24th
Butler for Three
Jimmy Butler is a bad man. We all know that. The Miami Heat may be the sixth seed in the east, but with Butler, they are a team that nobody wants to face. He has never really been known for his three-point shooting, but make no mistake, he can drain the three.

One of the most notable things about game one was the fact that Miami took 50 three-point attempts. On the season, they only averaged 36 per game which was tenth most in the NBA. This wasn’t surprising since Milwaukee saw opponents take 38.7 threes per game this season but it gives bettors an attack surface.
Jimmy Butler is the most obvious Heat player to target in this area since he took nine attempts from downtown in game one. To put that into perspective, he only had three games all season where he took more than six trays. He hit at least two in all three of those contests. If he take more than six attempts from downtown again tonight, the +176 on his made threes prop is a safe bet.
- The Pick: Butler OVER 1.5 Made Threes (+176)
Nurkic the Setup Guy
If the weekend taught us anything, it’s that the Portland Trail Blazers/Denver Nuggets series is going to be fun. The Trail Blazers are not the typical six-seed and they proved it by beating the Nuggets on their home floor in the opening game. Although Damian Lillard gets all the love, one guy that flies under the radar is Jusuf Nurkic.

Nurkic’s minutes are trending up as Portland will need his defense against Nikola Jokic. He’s a great passer for a big man and being on the floor more makes him a target in the assist market. He ended up playing 32 minutes in game one and recorded five assists on eight potential assists.
In the regular season, Nurkic only played 28 or more minutes ten times. In nine of those games, he came away with at least four assists. Given the likelihood of him approaching 30 minutes again tonight, the over on his assist prop seems like a smart move. Especially at the -104 price tag.
- The Pick: Nurkic OVER 3.5 Assists (-104)
