Oct. 25 NBA Player Props – Best Over/Unders for All Four Games

• Tuesday night provides four NBA games, including the Warriors vs Suns and Mavericks vs Pelicans

It might be a quieter night around the NBA on Tuesday, but there is no shortage of star power. Cade Cunningham, the first-overall draft pick in 2021, is a favorite in NBA Most Improved Player odds, and leads his Pistons against Bradley Beal and the Washington Wizards in the capital. Luka Doncic takes his Mavericks to New Orleans to face the Pelicans, who are potentially without Zion Williamson and Herb Jones as well as Brandon Ingram. CJ McCollum is healthy and will take on a major role, however.

Paul George faces his former team with the Clippers heading to Oklahoma City. The night wraps up with Steph Curry and the Warriors travelling to Phoenix to face the Suns.

Pick #1: Deandre Ayton Over 10.5 Rebounds

If the Suns are to live up to their status as 2.5-point favorites over the reigning champion Warriors on Tuesday night, Deandre Ayton will need to be imposing at both ends. The former first overall pick has the size to be a real nuisance for the Dubs — he has done so in the past too, having clocked double-digit boards in four of his last seven against Golden State.

Only three teams are grabbing fewer rebounds per game than the Warriors. Ayton is yet to go over this line in three games, which is part of the reason FanDuel are offering plus odds. He has averaged over 10 rebounds in each season of his career to date, however, and will be an overpowering force in the paint. Kevon Looney is a good rebounder, but undersized. James Wiseman doesn’t have the strength to cope with Ayton if the latter is aggressive.

Golden State is 27th in offensive rebounding rate and 20th in offensive rebounding rate. There are opportunities for easy boards here, and Ayton should be attacking the glass as it is a good source of offense for the Suns, too.

At +102, there is great value here. Ayton can be dominant in this matchup.

Pick #2: Luka Doncic Over 39.5 Points & Assists

Luka Doncic topped the league in usage rate last season. Dallas then failed to replace its secondary ball handler. Unsurprisingly, Doncic has been dominating the Mavs’ offense in the first two games. He leads the league in usage at just shy of 40%, and has gone north of 40 in combined points and assists in both games.

The volume is always there for Doncic to post enormous numbers, and this Pelicans matchup is potentially playing further into his favor, with injuries contributing to Dallas being 4.5-point favorites. Herb Jones is questionable, removing New Orleans’ primary option to guard the Slovenian. Even Brandon Ingram’s absence should help, as the former Laker at least has the size to cause some problems for Doncic. Without either of them, the Pels are desperately short on possible defenders, which can allow Doncic to attack their defensive weak spots in CJ McCollum and Jonas Valanciunas.

Doncic has a spectacular record against New Orleans, going well over this points and assists line in four of his last six. For his career, he averages over 29 points and over eight assists in these matchups, but he is expected to exceed those numbers with this bloated usage. He has scored 30+ points in both games this term, plus dished 10 assists in the blowout win over the Grizzlies.

Even at -122, there’s value backing this over with an already suspect Pels defense weakened.
