After starting 25-0, the Syracuse Orange gave up lost two games in four days, and they will look to bounce back this Monday night against the Maryland Terrapins, at Comcast Center at 7 PM ET.

Losses against Boston College and Duke can automatically change the way the nation looks at the number one team in College Basketball.  Jim Boeheim knows his teams is getting ready for March Madness, but the next few weeks will tell if they are built for a run at the title or not.

“This end of the year is important for us,” coach Jim Boeheim said. “We flew through obviously and escaped a few times. We knew the end of the year would be hard, and that’s fine.

“These games help you. This will help you. This was a tournament game. This will help you. We played slow, and you see that in tournaments. We’ve learned a lot, and we’ll learn a lot more. We know how tough our next few games are.”

Maryland is 15-12 in the season and 7-7 in the ACC; they beat Wake Forest a week ago and have been resting for six days. Guard Nick Faust had 20 points in the 71-60 victory over the Demon Deacons.

“I’m proud of my group,” coach Mark Turgeon said. “We had some guys step up tonight. Nick Faust was terrific. I thought his passing was great, and so was his defense. He scored, defended, made free throws, rebounded and did a lot of good things to help us win tonight.”

Syracuse is a 4.5 point favorite in the spread for Monday’s game. The Orange is 9-0-1 ATS in its last 10 games on the road.
