Barcelona has no other option but to beat Real Madrid this Sunday, if they want to keep fighting for the Spanish La Liga title.  Real Madrid and Barcelona meet at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium for the 29th fixture of the domestic tournament at 4 PM ET.

Madrid leads the standings with 70 points after 28 weeks.  The ‘merengues’ haven’t lost since October 26th, when they were defeated by Barcelona in the first ‘Clasico’ of the season.

Carlo Ancelotti’s team arrives to this game after beating Schalke 3-1 in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.  The team looks as they are having too much fun on the field.

“My confidence is growing with every game, I feel really good,” striker Gareth Bale said to Marca. “I feel great and am enjoying my football. But every game is important now we’re heading into the business end of the season. We’re playing well, we’re full of confidence and we are on a good run of form. We have to prepare well for the upcoming game against Barcelona.”

Barcelona knows they need to be nearly perfect to win.  They are third in the standings with 66 points; only a win is acceptable on Sunday.

“We will have to play an almost perfect match because that’s what our opponent will demand of us,” Andres Iniesta told in the news conference. “We are in the right shape to do it. It’s a very important match for what it means for the standings, for the opponent and for everything around these kinds of games.”

The soccer odds have the Real Madrid listed +120 in the moneyline, Barcelona +210 and the draw is +250.
