A tremendous game at the round of 16 takes the stage when current European champion, Bayern Munich, visits Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal, in the first leg of the series, this Wednesday at 14:45 PM ET.

Bayern is not only the current title holder, but the hottest team in the planet; they won all but one game in the group stage and they are undefeated in the German Bundesliga.  Their style is ball possession and tremendous movement upfront.

Munich beat Arsenal a year ago with a 1-3 result at Emirates, but lost in the second leg 0-2; they still advanced but it was the only series in the 2012-2013 season they couldn’t win

“We had been very good in London, we thought nothing can happen to us in the return leg. All of a sudden you are 2-0 down and there are still some minutes to play. It shows that things can go really quickly in the Champions League. We will have that in the back of our minds,” Captain Phillip Lahm said.

Arsenal is second in the English Premier League; they are the clear favorite in this situation despite they have good enough players to put up a challenge.

“We are in much better mental shape today than we were one year ago. We lost against Blackburn at home in the FA Cup, and it was a big disappointment for us. This time we won against Liverpool. We have a strong team spirit, a strong desire to do well and a united team”, said Arsenal coach Arsene Wegner.

In the UEFA Champions League moneyline, the Arsenal is listed +360, Bayern Munich is -140, and the draw is +240.
