ESPN BET will launch next month and the highly anticipated sports betting operator will be previewed on Thursday, Nov. 9, at the third annual ESPN Edge conference in New York City.

The third annual event will feature a showcase of the ESPN BET launch from Jay Snowden, PENN Entertainment CEO and President, and Mike Morrison, Vice President of Sports Betting & Fantasy for ESPN.

Penn Entertainment and ESPN agreed to a multi-year, multi-million dollar partnership this past August. Penn Sports Interactive, the gambling and sports betting arm of Penn Entertainment, is currently in the process of completely rebranding Barstool Sportsbook to ESPN BET, which it hopes to complete by November.

ESPN BET to Launch in November

PENN  secured the exclusive rights to the ESPN BET trademark for online sports betting in the U.S. for an initial 10-year term which may be extended for an additional 10 years upon mutual agreement. PENN Entertainment agreed to pay $1.5 billion to ESPN over the initial 10-year term and grant ESPN approximately $500 million of warrants to purchase 31.8 million PENN common  shares.

If ESPN BET meets a certain U.S. online sports betting market share, ESPN could receive bonus warrants to purchase an additional 6.4 million in PENN shares.

Snowden and Morrison will discuss the launch from 5:30 to 6 p.m. during the conference..

“The ESPN Edge Conference continues to build momentum into year three with engaging conversations around the advancements in sports media technology,” said Kevin Lopes, Vice President of Sports Business Development & Innovation at ESPN, in a press release. “This year some of the industry’s brightest minds will highlight their recent successes, how they hope to impact the future, and what it all means for the fan.”

ESPN BET Logo Revealed

ESPN BET recently released its new logo to the public, with the brand featuring the recognizable “ESPN” and the sportsbook app branded with an “E” in the “B” for its logo. The ESPN BET promo will also be available to sign-up with in time for its launch by mid-November.

“The brand itself features the universally recognizable ‘ESPN,’ while the sportsbook app will be branded an ‘E’ in the ‘B,’ which creatively expresses the idea that ESPN, in partnership with PENN Entertainment, is launching a sportsbook for fans, but at its core is still ESPN, the most trusted brand in sports,” according to a press release.
