UCLA thinks they have what it takes to challenge Oregon despite they are coming off a loss; Bruins and Ducks will clash this Saturday at 7 PM ET at Autzen Stadium for week 9 in College Football.

UCLA recently lost at Stanford, but what they are about to face trying to top Oregon multi-option offense is a bigger challenge.  Bruins’ coach Jim Mora thinks Ducks QB Marcus Mariota is NFL material.

“I had a couple guys ask me, NFL guys if I thought he could play at the next level,” Mora said. “I said, ‘Have you not watched him? I mean, he’ll rip it up at the next level.’ I mean this guy is ripping it up at this level. He’s really special.”

Mariota already pass the 2000 yards mark this season, but also has thrown 19 touchdowns and is yet to throw an interception.  His team had covered the spread in six of the seven matchups this season, only failing to do so against Washington State last week.

The Ducks will have RB De’Anthony Thomas back after missing four games due to an injury.

“It’s great just to go out there, see guys having fun,” Thomas said. “I hope we can continue that, and put more points up on teams, and I feel as long as we keep winning games, we should be successful.”

Oregon is 23.5 point favorites for Saturday, and the game total was set at 71.5. The Ducks are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games when playing at home against UCLA.
