Padres vs Athletics Pick

The teams split two games in San Diego from July 27-28. Padres third baseman Manny Machado was 3 for 7 and belted a home run while Athletics catcher Sean Murphy went 3 for 8 with a double and a homer.

Catcher Austin Nola led the Padres over the Athletics on Tuesday night with four hits and two RBIs while Pham led off the game with a home run. Craig Stammen, Emiliano Pagan, Matt Strahm and Miguel Diaz combied for four scoreless innings of relief.

The Athletics took three of four from the Padres last season.

It’s a tough call between two good teams with hot pitchers but let’s go with the value play.
