The hottest team in the NBA is back on the court on Friday night as the Minnesota Timberwolves (61-26, 32-11 home, 45-40-2 ATS) host the Denver Nuggets (61-27, 25-18 away, 39-48-1 ATS) in Game 3 of their best-of-seven Western Conference semifinal. After winning both Games 1 and 2 on the road in Denver, Minnesota improved to a perfect 6-0 in the postseason and has won four straight as betting underdogs.

Returning home, Minnesota is back to being favored in the Game 3 Nuggets vs Timberwolves odds, laying four points. Tip-off for Game 3 is scheduled for 8:40 pm CT/10:40 pm ET at Target Center in Minneapolis.

Denver Nuggets vs Minnesota Timberwolves Prediction

Minnesota’s two road wins in Denver were two of the most-impressive games by any NBA team all season. The T-Wolves held Denver under 100 in both games (106-99 and 106-80), limiting Nikola Jokic to 48 points combined on 16-of-38 shooting from the floor (42.1%). Overall, the Nuggets shot 64-of-158 (40.5%) as a team over the pair of games.

The T-Wolves offense, on the other hand, connected at 50% or better in both Games 1 and 2, led by 70 points from Anthony Edwards (43 in Game 1, 27 in Game 2).

Minnesota’s defense, which had an NBA-best 108.4 D-Rating in the regular season, has been even better in the playoffs, sitting at 105.5 despite playing two prolific offenses in the Suns and Nuggets.

A trio of Nuggets are dealing with injuries ahead of Game 3. Jamal Murray (calf), Reggie Jackson (calf), and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (abdominal) are all listed as questionable. The T-Wolves injury report, on the other hand, is effectively empty. Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert missed Game 2 due to personal reasons but is back in action on Friday.

There is no reason to back off the Timberwolves in Game 3, especially with Gobert back. Their defense is posing all kinds of problems for Jokic, and Murray has looked noticeably slowed by his calf injury.

DEN vs MIN Game 3 pick: Timberwolves -4
