  • The Los Angeles Clippers try to even their series with the Phoenix Suns Tuesday, June 22nd
  • The Suns are 5-point favorites but the prop market is also loaded with options for bettors

A single NBA playoff game will be the focus of bettors Tuesday night as the Los Angeles Clippers will try to even things with the Phoenix Suns after dropping Game 1 120-114 Sunday. Tip off is scheduled for 9pm ET on ESPN.

Game 1 had it all as the teams entered the fourth quarter with 93 points apiece. Both teams were missing stars as Kawhi Leonard sat out for the Clippers and Chris Paul didn’t dress for the Suns.  It was ultimately Devin Booker’s day as he ended with 40 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists on the afternoon. It was his first career triple-double and it came at a time when the Suns needed it most.

As always, FanDuel has more than enough player props to keep bettors busy. Check out the table below to see the lines on the players taking the floor tonight. Scroll down to see two of the better bets on the board.

Odds as of June 22nd

Devin Booker is Special

Chris Paul entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols at exactly the wrong time. Missing the on and off the court leader is not an ideal situation for any team but losing him right before the Western Conference Finals is brutal. Still, the Suns have firepower and Devin Booker reminded the world that any team with him on the roster is dangerous.

Booker didn’t come out of nowhere as he has been the Suns’ leading scorer for years now. Chris Paul will steal a little shine from anyone in the league when he’s added to a roster but this is still Booker’s team. He averaged 25.6 points per game during the regular season and if there is a late second shot to be taken, it will likely be his to take.

Even with Paul in the lineup, Booker has a chance for spike games. In the closeout game with the Nuggets, Booker scored 34 points on a healthy 25 shot attempts. In Sunday’s win, Booker took 29 shots from the floor which is the kind of volume bettors should chase. It stands to reason that the Devin Booker show will continue tonight.

FanDuel offers alt lines on their player props and that is where I am going tonight. Instead of 31.5 points at -110, why not take 32.5 at +104. Booker’s volume shouldn’t change much tonight as he could easily take 30+ shots under the right circumstances. If that happens, he is likely to fly over his point total.

  • The Pick: Booker Over 32.5 Points (+104) *Alt Line

Reggie Jackson Can Ball

The Suns aren’t the only team missing a star as the Clippers are missing Kawhi Leonard. Injuries present opportunities in the prop market and one guy that is taking advantage is Reggie Jackson. He is being trusted to score and he is more than taking advantage of the opportunity.

Jackson has scored at least 22 points in each of his last three games with Leonard on the shelf. Obviously the points are nice but it’s the volume that is worth betting. In each game, Jackson has taken at least 15 shots from the floor which includes at least seven three-point attempts. If Jackson sees that type of volume again tonight, he should go over 21 points again.

  • The Pick: Jackson Over 20.5 Points (+108) * Alt Line
