  • The Atlanta Hawks are 5-point home favorites over the Toronto Raptors in their NBA game scheduled for Saturday, November 19
  • Toronto is 7-2 straight up in the last nine games at Atlanta
  • The Hawks are 1-4 against the spread in the last five home games facing the Raptors

When the Toronto Raptors (9-7, 9-7 ATS) visit the Atlanta Hawks (9-6, 7-7-1 ATS) on the NBA schedule, it’s been a tale of two outcomes.

Straight up, the Raptors rule. Toronto has won seven of the last nine road games against the Hawks. From a betting standpoint, it’s the Hawks that are soaring. Atlanta is showing a 4-1 against the spread mark the last five times they’ve played host to the Raptors.

Oddsmakers are opting to go with the latter trend. It’s the Hawks who are set as 5-point home favorites over the Raptors in the latest renewal of this NBA rivalry. Toronto is 1-4 ATS in its last five road games.

Toronto Raptors Betting Trends

The Raptors whipped the Hawks 139-109 on October 31 at Toronto. Forward Pascal Siakam led the way with a double-double of 31 points and 14 rebounds.

Guards Gary Trent Jr and Scottie Barnes each contributed 21 points. OG Anunoby (14), Chris Boucher (11) and Precious Achiuwa (10) also hit for double figures. Forward Anunoby is the fifth betting choice in the NBA Defensive Player of the Year odds at +1200.

On the season, Siakam is proving to be a triple threat for Toronto. He’s leading the team in points (24.8), rebounds (9.4) and assists (7.7) per game, but he’s still out with a groin injury, and will miss his 8th-straight game.

The Raptors are 3-2 SU in the past five games. They’re 1-5 ATS in the last six games and 0-4 ATS over that past four road games. As a betting underdog, Toronto is 4-3 ATS during the 2022-23 NBA campaign.

Atlanta Hawks Betting Trends

Southeast Division-leading Atlanta has played four games against the other Eastern Conference division leaders. The Hawks are 2-1 SU in three games against Milwaukee (Central) and lost to Boston (Atlantic). Atlanta is the only team to beat the Bucks with two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo in the Milwaukee lineup.

Overall, Atlanta is 5-2 both SU and ATS in the past eight games. The Hawks are 5-3 SU and 4-3-1 ATS at home this season. They’re also 4-3-1 ATS as a betting favorite during the 2022-23 NBA season.

The co-10th betting choice in the NBA MVP odds, Hawks point guard Trae Young leads the club in scoring (24.6 PPG) and assists (9.7 APG). He’s averaged 25.2 points in 12 games against Toronto. Center Clint Capela (11.6 RPG) is Atlanta’s top rebounder.

Raptors vs Hawks Prediction

There’s significant evidence to suggest that a play on the over might not be a bad decision, or at the very least worth including in a same-game parlay. The total has gone over in eight of the past 11 Raptors vs Hawks games, including four of the past five meetings in Atlanta. As well, the over has proven to be the winning call in nine of Atlanta’s last 13 games. Then again, 10 of the past 13 Hawks home games have gone under.

Toronto is holding a 4-1 edge both SU and ATS in the last five games against Atlanta. The Hawks are 4-2 ATS in the last six games against Eastern Conference opponents, but 2-4 ATS in the past six meetings with Atlantic Division clubs.

Pick: Atlanta Hawks -5 (-110)
