Arkansas-Pine Bluff Betting Outlook

Senior guard Shaun Doss Jr. has shined in his return “home” to UAPB

Doss spent his first three seasons with the Golden Lions then transferred to SIU Edwardsville. After one year there, Doss is back at UAPB and averaging 18.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists.

In the loss at Mississippi State, Doss scored a team-high 15 points and grabbed six rebounds.

Sophomore Kylen Milton is UAPB’s only other double-digit scorer. He is scoring 11.8 points, dishing 4.8 assists and grabbing 3.0 rebounds a game.

Milton had 11 points against Mississippi State.

Senior forward Chris Greene shot just 2 of 11 from the floor on Sunday but finished with 14 points, five rebounds and three steals. The former Community College of Beaver County and Cleveland State player has a 9.8 scoring average.

UAPB was outclassed by Mississippi State in pretty much every area. The Golden Lions shot 29.5% (18 of 61) overall, 20.7% (6 of 29) on three-point field goals, committed 18 turnovers and were outrebounded 46-34.

Kent State Betting Outlook

Senior guard Sincere Carry is making a strong early case to repeat as the Mid-American Conference Player of the Year.

Carry has been filling up the stat sheet in the early going, averaging 21.7 points, 6.0 assists, 3.7 steals and 3.3 rebounds. In the win over Portland, he contributed 14 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals.

Only three players have ever won back-to-back POY awards in the MAC.

Senior guard Malique Jacobs led Kent State with 21 points, six rebounds, six steals and four assists. He is also off to a good start to the season with averages of 13.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.0 steals.

Senior forward Miryne Thomas is averaging 10.7 points a game after transferring from Ball State. He had 10 points against Portland and junior guard Giovanni Santiago added 11 to raise his season average to 9.0.

Kent State’s defense overwhelmed the Pilots, forcing 27 turnovers. The Golden Flashes had 12 steals.

This marks the first-ever meeting between the programs as UAPB is making a Northeast Ohio swing that includes a game at Cleveland State on Friday night. The Golden Flashes have the better team, but the Golden Lions will be well-rested and worth taking with the points.
