Marquette Defying Preseason Expectations
Playing in one of college basketball’s toughest conferences, the Golden Eagles weren’t getting much love prior to the campaign starting. That’s why you play the games. At 11-2, Marquette are tied for the best record in conference play and are also the highest ranked team from the Big East.

Marquette has won five in a row and nine of their last 10. They’ve also been terrific against the spread this year with a 16-7-1 cover mark.
UConn Huskies Struggling Against Top Conference Foes
While the Huskies appear to have gotten things back in order somewhat with three victories in their last four, all those wins have come against the bottom three squads in the Big East. Against the five teams perched above them in the conference standings, Connecticut owns just a 1-5 record.
