The Illinois Illini are home to the Wyoming Cowboys and are 13-point favorites. Even though that’s a fairly big number, the public is all over the Illini. There’s 77% of public betting handle backing Illinois to cover.
When it comes to the moneyline, even though the Illini are at -540, they’re still garnering 90% of the public bets. So are the Florida Atlantic Owls, the -280 betting choice over the Charlotte 49ers.
The total on the Florida Atlantic-Charlotte is set at 60 points. Nonetheless, the public is slamming the over to the tune of 90% of the handle.

Public Betting Howling Over Owls
Conference USA rivals Florida Atlantic and Charlotte will be facing each other for the eighth successive season. Two years ago, they also met in the season opener for both schools. The total was set at 62.5 points and the Owls were 21-17 winners, meaning the game went way under.

This year, the established total is 60 points in the Charlotte vs Florida Atlantic odds. Over the past eight years, the two schools have combined to go over 60 points just once. That was in 2019, when Florida Atlantic beat the 49ers 45-27.
Just 10% of public betting handle is on the under, but history is suggesting this will be a good time to fade the public and go with the under as the play.

Illinois was 1-2 straight up against non-conference foes last season. Oddly enough, the only win by the Illini was against Charlotte. Florida Atlantic crushed the 49ers 38-9 last season and have won three in a row against Charlotte.
If you want to follow the public on these wagers, go with the Owls. But really, at the betting odds being offered on the favorites in the moneyline, it really isn’t worth the minimal return a winning bet will pay out.
