Florida State will enter Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday night as 7.5-point road favorites. While the total for Florida State vs Miami is set at 52.5. Currently, the bettors love Miami in this one, as 86% of bets are on the Hurricanes to cover the spread.

Florida State Betting Trends

Florida State snapped an ugly 3-game losing streak with a dominant 41-6 victory over Georgia Tech last week.

Junior quarterback Jordan Travis leads a quietly explosive offensive attack. The Seminoles rank 12th in the nation in yards per play at 6.7,  and 23rd in yards per pass attempt at 8.4. Moreover, other than the ugly loss to NC State, the junior pivot has looked phenomenal throwing the football this season. Travis has racked up just over 2000 yards passing with 14 touchdowns and just 3 interceptions.

Additionally, Florida State is 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games played overall.

Miami Betting Trends

Coming off of one of the strangest football games you will ever see, the Miami Hurricanes will be desperate to beat their rivals on Saturday night. No touchdowns were scored in the game versus Virginia Tech and the Hurricane somehow came away with a 14-12 win in overtime.

Mario Cristobal has to be licking his wounds after a tough start to his return to the Hurricanes.

Losing quarterback Tyler Van Dyke to injury has hardly helped matters. Van Dyke has thrown for 1737 yards, 10 touchdowns and 4 interceptions on the season. However, the sophomore has looked lost at times in the pocket, and has failed to deliver on the promise he displayed last year. Cristobal remains optimistic that Van Dyke will suit up for this contest after leaving the game against Duke two weeks ago with a shoulder injury.

Miami will be looking to right the ship and string together a few victories. Having said that, this ain’t the “U” of the 1990s and early 2000s. The Hurricanes have failed to cover the spread in 4 straight conference games and are a putrid 1-7 ATS on the year.

Florida State vs Miami Prediction

All of the betting trends are on the Seminoles’ side this weekend. Mike Norvell’s team is 5-0 against the spread in their last 5 road games. Moreover, the Seminoles are 6-2 in their last 8 games at Miami. Finally, the road team is 12-4 against the spread in the last 16 Florida State vs Miami games.

Ultimately, the “U” have failed to cover in 7 straight contests. Take Florida State to cover the 7.5-point spread in this one.

Pick: Florida State -7.5 (-115)
