The Clemson Tigers’ (10-1, 8-0 ACC) march to finish the season with just a single loss is just a few games away.

As they showed last week, the South Carolina Gamecocks (7-4, 4-4 SEC) don’t exactly stick to script.

It makes for an intriguing matchup in this in-state rivalry that’s come to be known as the Palmetto Bowl.

Clemson is coming off a 40-10 whipping over the Miami Hurricanes as massive 19.5-point favorites.

SC provided the biggest upset of the season, demolishing the previously 5th-ranked Tennessee Volunteers 63-38.

It all gets underway Saturday (Nov 26) at 12pm ET from Memorial Stadium, in a game you can see live on ABC.

The Tigers are hefty 14.5-point favorites, looking to extend their home winning streak to a spectacular 41 games. The game features a total of 51.5.

Gamecocks’ Betting Outlook

South Carolina didn’t just throw a wrench into Tennessee’s college football playoff hopes, they detonated them.

A 22-point underdog, South Carolina pulled off one of the shocking upsets, racking up 606 total yards and nine TD’s. This coming from the SEC’s 11th-ranked offense, and a unit that failed to gain 300 yards of total offense in three of their last four games.

Spencer Rattler, the transfer from Oklahoma, went bonkers against the Vols, going 30-for-37 for 438 yards and six TD tosses — both were career highs. Josh Vann made the most of his two grabs, turning both into touchdowns.

Jaheim Bell hauled in five balls for 39 yards and a pair of scores, while Antwane Wells Jr paced the passing attack with 11 grabs for 177 yards.

SC also found some success in the run game, carrying 38 time for 153 yards, a healthy 4.0 yards per pop. Dakereon Joyner rushed for a pair of TD’s, while Jaheim Bell had 82 yards on a game-high 17 carries.

The Gamecocks feature the 77th-ranked offense in the NCAA, churning out 378 yards per game. They average on 129.5 yards per game on the ground (96th), while their passing game is tied for 46th, pumping out 248.5 yards per game.

South Carolina is putting up 31.7 points per game on the season (T-42nd).

Tigers’ Betting Outlook

Clemson still has hope of working their way to the College Football Playoff, but they’ll have to run the table through to the ACC Championship.

Last week, they took care of business against the ‘Canes, racing out to a 24-0 halftime lead and cruising to a 30-point win.

Quarterback DJ Uiagalelei starred for the Tigers, going 23-for-35 for 233 yards and two TD’s with one interception. He also led the team in rushing, with 17 carries for 89 yards and a score.

As a team, Clemson rung up 201 yards rushing on 47 carries, finding the endzone three different times.

Defensively, the Tigers shut down Miami’s passing attack, holding them to 68 yards passing, with one TD and one interception, while sacking Miami QB’s five times.

They totally shut down the run game too, as the Hurricanes could only muster 30 yards rushing on 24 carries.

Clemson is putting up 34.7 points per game (28th), while holding opponents to 20 points per game, which ranks 24th. Clemson holds teams to 318.7 yards per game, the 18th-best total defensive mark in the nation, including 214.5 yards passing (51st) and 104.2 yards rushing (12th).

South Carolina vs Clemson Prediction

Clemson has to be on alert after what the Gamecocks did last week, but they should have the defense that can hold up, if SC can even summon up that kind of performance in back-to-back games.

The Tigers have dominated this matchup, winning the last seven head-to-heads, tallying at least 30 points in each, and they’ve won the last five by 21 points or more.

If there’s one cause for pause, Clemson is just 2-9 against the spread in their last 11 non-conference games. That being said, the favorite has been dominant in this series, running up a 4-1 ATS mark in the last five.

Look for the best to go on, as the Tigers continue their march to a CFP berth.

The Pick:

  • Clemson -14.5 (-105); 1 unit to win 0.95 units
  • Week 12 NCAAF Record: 1-1: Overall: 7-7 ATS, 1-0 ML, 1-3 o/u; -2.22 units
