2022 Pro Bowl Odds, Picks, Predictions, and AFC & NFC Roster Breakdowns
- The AFC are 1-point favorites over the NFC in the annual Pro Bowl game on Sunday, February 6
- Since 2016, the AFC has won every Pro Bowl Game, giving them a 25-22 lead in the series
- Last year’s game was called off due to the COVID-19 pandemic — see our best bet below
After a year’s absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the AFC-NFC Pro Bowl game is back. And oddsmakers are backing the usual outcome when the two teams take to the field on Sunday. The AFC is a one-point pick to win the Pro Bowl.
Since the NFL returned to its traditional AFC-NFC format in 2016, COVID-19 has proven to be the only element capable of slowing down the AFC. The conference has won four Pro Bowls in a row, tying the NFC (1977-80) for the longest successive streak of success in the history of the game. A win on Sunday would give them a new record.
NFL Pro Bowl Odds
Team | Moneyline | Spread | Total |
---|---|---|---|
AFC | -120 | -1 (-110) | O 62 (-110) |
NFC | +100 | +1 (-110) | U 62 (-110) |
Odds as of February 5th at Caesars
Sunday’s game is set for a 3pm ET kickoff at Allegiant Stadium, home to the Las Vegas Raiders. ESPN is carrying the broadcast. It’s a busy weekend for all-star games being played in Sin City. The NHL All-Star Game is taking place on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena, home to the Vegas Golden Knights.
It’s the first time that the Pro Bowl will be played at Allegiant Stadium. The AFC is 5-4 straight up in games that inaugurate a new stadium to the Pro Bowl.
At a moneyline of -120, the favored AFC is being given an implied probabilty of victory of 54.55%. A $100 wager on the AFC would bring a payout of $183. On the flip side, a play on the underdog NFC at +100 offers an IP of victory that’s set at 50%. Wager $100 on the NFC and a victory by them will lead to a payday of $200.
From 2013-15, the NFL experimented with a different Pro Bowl. Teams were drafted by ex-NFL stars. The last time the NFC won the Pro Bowl was a 62-35 decision over the AFC on Jan. 27, 2013 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu.
No Farewell For The Goat
The NFC might have even had extra motivation to end their drought and pick up the victory in a game that, let’s be honest here, isn’t one that tends to overflow with passion and emotion.
Tom Brady’s resume is unmatched: ⁰⁰7x Super Bowl Champion
5x Super Bowl MVP
3x NFL MVP
15x Pro Bowl
5x NFL Passing Touchdowns Leader
4x NFL Passing Yards Leader
2x NFL Offensive Player of the Year
3x First-Team All-Pro⁰⁰What a run pic.twitter.com/FSiYYh3mD0— Bleacher Report (@BleacherReport) January 29, 2022
However, Tom Brady, who recently announced his retirement from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, won’t be suiting up for the NFC in what would’ve been his farewell to football as a player. Selected to his record 15th Pro Bowl game, Brady is passing on the chance to play due to injury.
Green Bay QB Aaron Rodgers, the favorite to win the NFL MVP Award, is also taking a pass on playing for the NFC due to a broken toe.
Let’s look at the rosters for both teams in Sunday’s games:

Tennessee’s Mike Vrabel (AFC) and Green Bay’s Matt LaFleur (NFC) are coaching the Pro Bowl squads.
Naturally, none of the players selected from the Los Angeles Rams or Cincinnati Bengals, who meet next week in Super Bowl 56, will be playing in the game. The Rams are 4.5-point favorites over the Bengals in the Super Bowl odds.
Long after the AFC was done practicing for the Pro Bowl today in Las Vegas, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce stayed to sign autographs for the fans. They were the last ones to leave the field before the NFC arrived for their practice session. pic.twitter.com/TamhheowC8

Pro Bowl Over/Under A Total Surprise
All-Star games are thought of as events where defense goes out the window and offense rules that day. Surprisingly, that isn’t the case where the Pro Bowl is concerned.
The under is 5-2 in the past seven Pro Bowl games. This year’s total is set at 62 points. However, the average score per game over the past five Pro Bowl games is 52 points.

Underdogs also tend to be rewarding Pro Bowl wagers. The favorite has proven capable of covering the spread just four times in the past 16 Pro Bowl games. The underdog has won outright in nine of those 16 games.
With so many key players like Brady, Rodgers and Green Bay receiver Davante Adams sitting out, not to mention the loss of top Rams performers such as NFL receiving leader Cooper Kupp and reigning NFL DPOY Aaron Donald, the NFC lineup is weakened.
The AFC, meanwhile, have 2018 NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs and Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers under center.
Pick: AFC -1 (-110).
