Kickoff for this game at Cleveland Browns Stadium on Sunday, October 1 is set for 1pm ET. Weather won’t be a huge factor, with it being sunny in the low 70’s, with winds gusts of up to just ten miles per hour. The broadcast is being carried by CBS in the United States and TSN+ in Canada.

Cleveland is predicted to win 17.3-10.8 based on our formula. The Ravens are +2000 in the Super Bowl odds, while the Browns are +2500.

Betting Analysis

The Ravens won their first two games 25-9 (vs Houston), and 27-24 over Cincy, before falling 22-19 to Indy in OT. This one should feature a lot of running, with the Ravens fifth in yards per game rushing (158.0), while Cleveland is fourth (160.7).

In their two victories, the Browns D has been dominant, holding both the Bengals and Titans to just a field goal each. In their loss in Week 2 to Pittsburgh, they fell 26-22.

Cleveland has allowed only 163.7 yards per contest, which is by far the best in the league (second best is Buffalo at 253.0). Baltimore is no slouch either, giving up the eighth fewest points per outing (18.3, with the Browns at a league-best 10.7). Myles Garrett is third in the NFL with 4.5 sacks through three games.

Injury Report

Each team’s injury situation is drastically different. For Cleveland, the only player listed as questionable is a big one in QB Deshaun Watson (shoulder). If he should miss the contest, rookie pivot Dorian Thompson-Robinson (rookie 5th rounder) would be pressed into action. Apart from already losing Nick Chubb in Week 2, there are no other current notable injuries.

It’s drastically different for the Ravens, however. Five players have been ruled out, including two wideouts in Odell Beckham Jr. and Rashod Bateman. CB Marlon Humphrey (foot) won’t go, along with a pair of pass rushers in Odafe Oweh and David Ojabo. That doesn’t even take into account there are five players who are questionable, including OL’s Ronnie Stanley and Tyler Linderbaum, RB Justice Hill and safety’s Kyle Hamilton and Marcus Williams.

53% of the bets has been placed on the Ravens to cover the 1.5-point spread, with 64% of bets on Baltimore on the money line in Ravens vs Browns NFL betting trends.

Ravens vs Browns Prediction

If Deshaun Watson can’t go, clearly that makes this game vastly different, though it doesn’t appear Cleveland is overly worried he won’t compete. Baltimore has a slew of injuries to withstand, plus the Browns D has been fantastic. That will make it even harder for an offense losing some key components. In Cleveland’s last six home games, they’re 5-1 against the spread.

The Pick: Cleveland Browns -1.5 (-110)
