Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals (4-2) head to Baltimore, Maryland for a battle with the Baltimore Ravens (5-1) Sunday. The kick-off from M&T Bank Stadium is scheduled for 1pm ET on CBS.

As far as weather goes, temperatures are expected to be in the low 60s with no precipitation and very little wind.

Last week, the Bengals spanked the hapless Detroit Lions 34-11 in a game that was not as close as the final indicated. Burrow lead the slaughter throwing for 271 yards and three touchdowns on the afternoon. Baltimore had a similar experience slaying the Los Angeles Chargers 34-6.

Bengals vs Ravens Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Cincinnati Bengals +6.5 (-110) +220 O 47 (-110)
Baltimore Ravens -6.5 (-110) -275 U 47 (-110)

Odds as of October 20th at DraftKings.

The Ravens are 6.5-point favorites in this one but both teams are drawing action as there has been a 55-45 split in tickets. As far as the total is concerned, it’s sitting at 47 currently but obviously can move at a moments notice. It too has a fairly even split in tickets compared to some other games on the slate.

The Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals are a surprise team in the NFL this season. Not many picked them to win the AFC North but after six games they sit in second place with only the Ravens ahead of them. So far it appears that drafting Joe Burrow’s former college teammate, Ja’marr Chase at fifth overall in the 2021 NFL Draft was a good idea.

Chemistry is often talked about in NFL circles but it’s tough to site examples. That is not the case with Burrow and Chase. The two have teamed up for four touchdowns of more than 30 air yards this season which leads the NFL.

Burrow didn’t have any throws of more than 30 air yards that ended in a touchdown last season so as long as Chase is healthy, the duo has to be considered dangerous.

The Baltimore Ravens

Another team that has been surprising so far is the Baltimore Ravens. Sure, they’ve been a playoffs for the last three years but they seem to be considered an afterthought to teams like the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills.

This season they’ve been sneaking up on teams with their pass game. They’re 11th in the NFL in passing yards per game and Lamar Jackson has never looked better.

The pass game was not needed last week they steamrolled the Los Angeles Chargers 34-6. Baltimore got three touchdowns from three different running backs in the beatdown. Jackson only needed to throw for 167 yards in the win but he also added 51 yards on the ground.

Bengals vs Ravens Best Bet

The issue for the Bengals is the Ravens are not the Detroit Lions. They can actually tackle and won’t allow receivers to just roam free in the secondary. It was nice to see Cincinnati hang points on the board last week, but expecting another 30-burger out of them might be asking too much.

Still, at 47 this total is a little too low. The Bengals may not score in the 30s but they have hung 24 on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Meanwhile, Baltimore looks like a machine on offense and even though they held the Chargers to only six points last week, that will be a tall order this week. This feels like a 30-24 type game in my opinion. Take the over.
