  • Week 9 Record: 1-4, -3.22 Units; 2021 Record: 11-22, -10.31 units
  • Kickoff is set for 8:15 pm EST from Levi’s Stadium

Week 10 wraps up with an NFC West clash as the LA Rams take on the San Francisco 49ers.

The 49ers are in must-win territory if they hope to have any chance of sneaking into the final Wild Card spot in the NFC. At 3-5 it’s an uphill climb.

For LA, they’re likely looking at this as a revenge game. The Rams were embarrassed by the Titans in Week 9 on Sunday Night Football. Both the final score and Matthew Stafford’s passing line weren’t nearly as pretty as the final numbers make them look.

The NFC West rivals will kickoff on ESPN at 8:15 pm EST from Levi’s Stadium.

Odds as of November 14th at DraftKings

The Rams are favored, but only by 3.5. Only one of San Fran’s losses have been decided by fewer than three points, and in five of their eight games the 49ers have allowed at least 28 points.

LA’s offense has clicked in all seven wins this year. When they score 21+ they’re 7-0, but they’ve only managed 20 and 16 points in their two losses.

The Unstoppable George Kittle

George Kittle is widely recognized as a top-tier tight end around the NFL. But even if he wasn’t, his production against the Rams would make you think he was.

Kittle’s first game against the Rams in 2017 saw him pull in one catch for eight yards. But since then? Kittle has averaged 6.3 receptions and 106.3 yards per game. In fact, from 2018-2020, Kittle recorded at least five catches in every game against the Rams.

If there’s been on issue for LA this year, it’s been covering tight ends. They’ve given up 53 catches (fifth most) and 548 yards (seventh most) to the position.

On Monday night, with the Titans keeping the Rams at arm’s length, Geoff Swaim posted four receptions for 29 yards. The Texans’ Jordan Akins posted a 5/53 line the game before, and TJ Hockenson rolled up six catches and 49 yards before that.

Going over the 4.5 looks like a foregone conclusion, so take the value on the yards.

  • The Pick: George Kittle OVER 57.5 receiving yards (-115); 1 unit

Cooper Kupp’s Reign of Terror

Cooper Kupp’s props this week are completely insane. And it’s totally deserved.

The fact that you can bet Kupp going under 7.5 catches on Monday and get it at +105 is crazy. But then you look at the numbers he’s posted this year. Kupp has hit double digits in targets in every game but one. His lowest yardage output of the year is 64. It was the only time Kupp finished a game with less than 92 yards.

As a team though, the 49ers have done a good job at limiting wide receivers. They’ve allowed the sixth-fewest receptions to the position, and the eighth fewest yards.

For his career, Kupp has never caught more than four passes in a game against San Fran. His highest yardage output? 41 in Week 12 last year.

Kupp has been a maniac in 2021, and the 49ers aren’t going to stand in his way. But they could slow him down. It’s got ‘sweat it out all through the fourth quarter’ written all over it, but it’s a good chance to back the under on receptions.

  • The Pick: Cooper Kupp UNDER 7.5 receptions (+105); 1 unit

Odds as of November 14th at DraftKings

The 49ers started off the season strong as the team that scored first, but they’ve cooled off since. They’re 1-3 over their last four when it comes to scoring the first touchdown and 4-4 overall. LA actually started off 3-0 in that category, then they cooled a little bit and sit at 5-4 overall and 2-2 in their last four.

Regardless of who scores first, the two biggest players in this game offensively will be Cooper Kupp and George Kittle.

Kupp has just one touchdown in five games against San Fran, but that was before Matthew Stafford. The Rams are 1-2 this year when Kupp doesn’t hit paydirt, and this seems like a prime bounce back spot after last week.

As for Kittle, he’s torched the Rams lately with four touchdowns in his last five games.

Odell Beckham Jr feels like a savvy anytime pick too, but it’s very risky. Considering the injury to Robert Woods, Van Jefferson at long odds is a nice third play.

  • The Picks: George Kittle (+1200) to score FIRST TD; 0.5 units
  • The Picks: Cooper Kupp (-120), George Kittle (+180), Van Jefferson (+250) to score ANYTIME; 0.5 units each
