  • Books are handling the most money from sharps this week on the Arizona Cardinals (9.23 percent)
  • The Cardinals are the NFL’s best against the spread bet this season, going 7-3-1
  • If you’d bet Arizona ATS in every game so far this season, your return on investment would be 34.18 percent

Sharps probably have a completely opposite opinion of the Arizona Cardinals this season in comparison to the team’s own fan base.

Straight up, at 3-7-1, Arizona looks to be headed toward a second-straight double-digit loss campaign. Against the spread, though, the Cardinals are a sports bettor’s dream come true.

You can flip the script when it comes to the Cardinals and ATS wagers. Arizona is 7-3-1 ATS this season. That’s the best ATS record of any NFL team this season. Backing the Cardinals in every game this season, would’ve resulted in a return on investment of 34.18 percent.

No wonder the sharps, or the smart money as they’re also known, are all over the Cardinals again this week. Books are reporting that they’re handling more bets from sharps on the Arziona versus Los Angeles Rams game than any other contests this week.

Cardinals Benefactors Of Rams’ Sins?

On the surface, this might seem like the best week of all to be on board with backing the Cardinals. Less than a year removed from a Super Bowl 53 appearance as NFC Champions, the Rams are a train wreck that just keeps on derailing.

LA opened the season 3-0 but is 3-5 since. The Rams gave up 55 points to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and 45 to the Baltimore Ravens. Their last three wins were over the Bengals, Falcons and Bears, not exactly the cream of the NFL crop.

However, LA is also an impressive 7-4 ATS. As a road team, the Rams are 4-1 ATS. They are 6-1 ATS in their last seven road games. By comparison, the Cardinals are only 3-2 ATS at home.

Arizona is also coming off a bye week. Teams are 12-16 ATS this season following their bye. The Cardinals are 4-6 ATS following their bye week since 2010. With a rest advantage to prepare for a game, Arizona is 15-14-1 ATS since 2010.

With a rest disadvantage, the Rams are 9-8 ATS over that span.

Pick: Los Angeles Rams.

Sharps Love Bengals Games

Two weeks ago, the most combined sharp money wagered on a game was the one involving the Cincinnati Bengals.

That week, there was 20.4 percent of sharp wagers placed on the Bengals’ game against the Oakland Raiders. 14 percent of the bets were on the Raiders and 6.4 percent were on the Bengals.

This scenario is again playing out this week. There’s 8.8 percent of sharp money on the Bengals, and 7.1 percent of it on the Jets.

The 0-11 Bengals, the NFL’s last remaining winless team, came through in Week 11. Cinci didn’t win but the Bengals covered the 12-point spread by only losing 17-10.

Last week’s 16-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers was a push, so the Bengals are 1-0-1 ATS the past two weeks after going 1-5 ATS the previous six weeks.

Cincinnati is running out of time to win a game. This week might be their best hope, facing the 4-7 Jets at home. New York’s football Jets are 2-3 ATS on the road. Only the Bears (once) have covered less often away from home this season. But the Bengals are an NFL-worst 0-5 ATS at home.

The Jets have scored 34 points three games in a row during their current three-game winning streak.

Pick: New York Jets (-3).

Niners Test Mettle

The 10-1 San Francisco 49ers and 9-2 Baltimore Ravens have answered virtually every test this season, so as they face each other, this should be fascinating. But neither San Fran (6-4-1) or Baltimore (6-5) is an impressive ATS squad.

The Niners, though, are 3-0 ATS this season when they are the underdog. The Ravens are 4-3-1 ATS as a favorite this season and 1-3 ATS as a home favorite.

Pick: San Francisco 49ers (+6).

Panthers A Perfect 10?

The Washington Redskins aren’t doing well ATS this season at 4-7. But they’re coming off a win over the Detroit Lions, and Washington is unbeaten (1-0) ATS following a victory this season.

The Panthers are 3-2 ATS as a favorite this season. It’s the first time since Christmas Eve 2017 against Tampa Bay that Carolina’s been giving 10 points. The Panthers didn’t cover that game, winning only 22-19.

Carolina is 2-4 ATS as a home favorite this season. Washington is 3-3 ATS as a road underdog.

The Redskins are 4-2 ATS the last six times they’ve been a double-digit point underdog.

Pick: Washington Redskins (+10).
