- Will Geno Smith rush for less than 19.5 yards? Can Austin Ekeler find the end zone twice?
- Check out the latest odds for all the available Seahawks vs Chargers player props below, along with our best bets
It’s funny how football works. Everyone under the sun believed Russell Wilson was holding the Seahawks back, when we now know it was the other way around. Seattle’s offense has flourished without Russ, as Geno Smith had them ranked first in the NFL per DVOA heading into last week.
The Seahawks offense hit a slight bump in the road in Week 6 only scoring 19 points, but that was still good enough to stack another W.
Seattle now travels to LA in Week 7 to face Justin Herbert and the Chargers, who just squeaked out a victory over Russ and his new team last Monday.
The Seahawks are currently 5-point underdogs for this matchup, and while that may suggest a pass-heavy script, don’t be surprised if they lean on the run. As a result, our Seahawks vs Chargers player props are very run-centric, so check out the odds below, plus our best bets to target for Week 7 player props.

SEA vs LAC Prop #1: Geno Smith Under 19.5 Rushing Yards
Smith is capable of burning you with his legs, but it’s not his preference. He’d much rather pick you apart in the pocket which makes his 19.5 yard rushing prop simply too high. Sure, he’s capable of scampering for 40+ yards in any given game like he did last week, but those performances don’t happen nearly often enough to justify this line.

Smith has exceeded 14 rushing yards in just two of six starts this season, and given how favorable a matchup Walker has, there won’t be much need for Smith to run.
Furthermore, it’s easier for a QB to run versus man coverage than zone because the defense plays with their backs to the quarterback. Seattle has had its too worst offensive performances versus teams that play primarily zone (Arizona and Denver), so the Chargers would be wise to follow suit.
Pick: Geno Smith Under 19.5 Rushing Yards (-115), 1 unit
SEA vs LAC Prop #2: Kenneth Walker III Over 67.5 Rushing Yards
There’s no need for too much analysis on this one. LA ranks 22nd in rush defense per DVOA, compared to 11th versus the pass. They actively encourage opposing QB’s to hand off the ball because they know a rush has far less chance of creating an explosive play than a pass.
Walker is seeing number-one usage now that Rashad Penny is done for the year, and he’s looked awesome in his feature role. He ripped off 97 yards and a score on the ground last week, after going for 88 yards and TD in Week 5.
Most missed tackles forced on runs among NFC RBs:

Dalvin Cook – 22 (94 attempts)
Saquon Barkley – 20 (119 attempts) pic.twitter.com/tdNfqdRWs5— PFF (@PFF) October 22, 2022
Walker has forced the most missed tackles among all NFC running backs, despite earning less than half the workload of his nearest competitor.
Pick: Kenneth Walker Over 67.5 Rushing Yards (-115), 1 unit

SEA vs LAC Prop #3: Austin Ekeler 2+ TD
Ekeler has scored six touchdowns over his last three games. Two of those contests were multi-score performances, something he also accomplished four times in 2021. Bottom-line, Ekeler has a nose for the end zone.

You could bet him to score just once, and we will, but given the strength of Seattle’s defense, or lack thereof, he’s as good a bet to score twice as anyone on Sunday’s slate. He’s seen 11 red zone carries so far this season, as well as eight targets inside the-20, more than any other RB.
The Seahawks rank 22nd on defense per DVOA, and have surrendered the fourth most points in the NFL.
Picks: Austin Ekeler Anytime TD (-180), 1 unit, 2+ TD (+285), 0.5 units
Last week’s Player Props record: 2-4, -2.9 units
