Golden Knights Harvest At Home
Plenty of visiting teams are finding when they go to T-Mobile Arena, the two points stay in Vegas. As the two teams prepared for Friday’s game, Vegas was riding a five-game home-ice winning streak. For the season, the Golden Knights were 19-4-2 with a plus-34 goal differential.
Unlike the nickel slots on the Strip, Vegas is also stingy to visitors. At home, the Golden Knights had held 11 of their last 13 opponents to two goals or less.

St. Louis, though, had lit their share of red lamps in Sin City. Through their first seven visits to T-Mobile Arena the Blues were averaging 3.43 goals per game. However, in the past four games this season between the two teams, Vegas had checked St. Louis on one goal each night.
There’s also been plenty of close contests between the two clubs in Vegas. Four Blues-Golden Knights tilts there had gone to overtime, while one was decided via shootout.
Injury Updates
Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko (lower-body injury) is an uncertain starter. He’s the leading scorer for St. Louis against Vegas this season, with five points in five games. Forward Sammy Blais (upper-body injury) didn’t make the trip and won’t play. Blais has three points this season in three games against the Golden Knights.
Defensemen Vince Dunn (UBI) is also out for St. Louis. Rearguard Torey Krug (UBI) is questionable for St. Louis. Krug had collected six assists in four games prior to his injury.

Vegas dressed just 17 skaters for Thursday’s 3-2 overtime win over the Minnesota Wild. Forward Max Pacioretty (undisclosed injury) had missed the past two games. Center Thomas Nosek (undisclosed) is on IR and had sat out five games. Forward Ryan Reaves (undisclosed) skated Friday morning but remains out.
Trendspotting
Blues forward Mike Hoffman has scored 12 of his 17 goals on the power play. He’s tallied seven career goals against Vegas, more than any Blues player.
Overall, Vegas had won 13 of 15 games as these two teams were preparing to clash on Friday. The Golden Knights are the NHL’s stingiest defensive team (2.23 goals per game) and #4 in offensive production (3.37 GPG).
Craig Berube on facing Vegas: "From a confidence standpoint, we beat them the last time we played them… We’ve just got to be a confident team tonight. More than anything, we’ve played this team tentative at times, and we can’t have that attitude tonight." "#stlblues pic.twitter.com/fgPwgpkCgn

Vegas is 28-2-2 when scoring the first goal of the game and 20-3 when leading after one period. The Golden Knights are also 8-0 in overtime contests.
The Golden Knights are 35-13 this season as a moneyline favorite, but just 20-28 against the spread as the chalk. St. Louis is 13-6 ATS as an underdog. The favorite was 9-2 over the previous 11 meetings between the Blues and Golden Knights.
