The Panthers find themselves in must-win mode in the wake of Thursday’s defeat, which extends their current losing streak on home ice to three games.

Start time is set for 3:30pm ET at FLA Live Arena, with all the action televised on NESN, Bally Sports – Florida, and Sportsnet.

Bruins vs Panthers Recent History

With their Game 3 victory, the Bruins snapped a three-game losing streak in Florida and have taken four of seven from the Panthers.

These clubs have combined to score 6.0 or more goals in seven of their past eight meetings. However, it is the UNDER that has paid out in two of the first three games of the series.

Boston Bruins Betting Outlook

The Bruins wasted no time asserting their dominance in Game 3. Boston claimed a 2-0 lead while outshooting the Panthers by a 19-12 margin through two period, and increased their lead to 4-0 before surrendering a pair of goals late amid Florida’s 19-shot third-period rally. Taylor Hall powered the Bruins attack with a goal and an assist, and has now racked up three points in his past two games after tallying just four total points in his previous 12 outings.

Tyler Bertuzzi continued to shine in his playoff debut with Boston. Bertuzzi set up David Pastrnak’s game-winning goal and has now recorded two goals and 11 points during a timely seven-game points streak. Boston was once again without veteran Patrice Bergeron, who has yet to see playoff action due to injury, and is not expected to return on Sunday.

Florida Panthers Betting Outlook

Riding high following their decisive 6-3 win in Boston in Game 2, the Panthers failed to find the early spark in Thursday’s contest. Indeed, shots and scoring opportunities came at a premium for the club through the first two periods, and while their two late goals softened the blow, they proved to come far too late to salvage any chance of a Game 3 win.

Thursday’s contest may represent the end of Alex Lyon experiment in Florida. The Panthers goaltender allowed three goals on 26 shots before getting pulled in favor of Sergei Bobrovsky after Pastrnak made it a 3-0 game. The 30-year-old was called up to the team late in the regular season after Spencer Knight got injured, and took over the netminding reins after Bobrovsky struggled down the stretch.

Lyon played a key role in Florida’s march to a playoff berth while earning the win in six straight starts. However, he gave up a weak goal to open the scoring in Game 3, and sports a middling .326 goals-against average in the series.

Bruins vs Panthers Game 4 Prediction

Chastened by his recent benching, Bobrovsky will have a lot to prove on Sunday, should he get the call between the pipes for Florida. However, he has enjoyed little recent success when facing Boston, earning the win in just two of his nine appearances against the Bruins, and compiling a meager .905 save percentage.

In addition to a big rebound from Bob, the Panthers are desperate for more scoring production from their top stars, particularly Matthew Tkachuk and Aleksander Barkov, who have posted just one combined goal. Without either, this could turn out to be short series.

The Pick: Bruins (-155); OVER 6.0 (-120)
