Surprisingly, they’ve been even better on the road than they have at home this year. With a record of 11-1-0, the Devils easily own the best road record in the league. When the Rangers host the Devils in the Monday NHL odds, Shesterkin is expected to be in the crease for the Rangers while Vitek Vanecek gets the call for the Devils. In his first season away from Washington, Vanecek has provided everything the Devils could’ve wished for and more.

For goalies with a minimum of 15 games played, the Czech netminder sits second in the league in goals-against average and top 10 in save percentage as well. He would’ve been the biggest reach in the Vezina Trophy odds at the start of the season, but now appears to be a legitimate contender for the award.
Vanecek is coming off one of his worst outings of the season though. He got pulled in a 6-4 loss to the Islanders after giving up four goals on just 17 shots. That was only the third time he gave up four or more goals in a game this season.
