A 12th game between the Ottawa Senators and New Jersey Devils is postponed due to a COVID-19 outbreak among the Sens.

Sabres vs Penguins NHL Odds and Betting Trends

Pittsburgh has lost two in a row and been outscored 12-4 in the process. The Penguins are 2-4-2 over their past eight games.

Crippled by injury and COVID-19, the Pens got captain Sidney Crosby and defensemen Brian Dumoulin, Marcus Pettersson, and Chad Ruhwedel back on Sunday. It did little good as they were handled 6-1 by the Washington Capitals.

Sabres vs Penguins Recent Results

Date Home-Away Moneyline Puck Line Over/Under
3/25/2021 Pittsburgh 4 – Buffalo 0 PIT PIT Under
4/17/2021 Buffalo 2 – Pittsburgh 3 PIT BUF Under
4/18/2021 Buffalo 4 – Pittsburgh 2 BUF BUF Push
5/6/2021 Pittsburgh 8 – Buffalo 4 PIT PIT Over
5/8/2021 Pittsburgh 1 – Buffalo 0 PIT BUF Under

Pittsburgh has found Buffalo to be an inviting opponent in recent seasons. Then again, you could say that about most any NHL team and the Sabres. The Penguins have won two in a row and eight of nine from Buffalo. However, Buffalo’s solid start has them no longer in last place in the Stanley Cup odds.

They’ve won four straight over the Sabres at Pittsburgh and 10 of 13. Buffalo, meanwhile, is 1-5-1 following a 5-1-1 start to the season. The Sabres are a dismal 1-4-1 on the road this season. Although Pittsburgh is a hefty price in the Tuesday NHL odds, it’s the right play. Think about a sprinkle on 3-way moneyline instead.

Pick: Pittsburgh Penguins ML (-245)

Flames vs Flyers NHL Pick and Prediction

Close, as the saying goes, only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. Calgary has won five in a row from Philly. Three of those games went extra time and were one-goal decisions, however.

The Flames are also 7-1 over the last eight games against the Flyers and 10-3 through the past 13 contests. But six of the last 14 Flyers-Flames games were decided by a solitary goal.

Flames vs Flyers Recent Results

Date Home-Away Moneyline Puck Line Over/Under
12/12/2018 Calgary 6 – Philadelphia 5 (OT) CAL PHI Over
1/5/2019 Philadelphia 2 – Calgary 3 (OT) CAL PHI Under
10/15/2019 Calgary 3 – Philadelphia 1 CAL CAL Under
11/23/2019 Philadelphia 2 – Calgary 3 (SO) CAL CAL Under
10/30/2021 Calgary 4 – Philadelphia 0 CAL CAL Under

On the road, Calgary is 6-2 straight up over the past eight games and 8-4 SU in the last 12 games at Philadelphia. The total has gone under in seven of Philly’s last eight games, as well as in each of the last four Flyers-Flames contests.

Neither team is lighting up of late. Calgary is 2-5 in November, while the Flyers are 3-4. Roll with the under at -110 in the NHL odds when Flames vs Flyers goes down.

Pick: Under 5.5 (-110)
