Keselowski To Cash?

Brad Keselowski did enough last week to stay above the cutline, and he should be able to thrive at Martinsville. Taking a look at his recent resume on this track, Keselowski has back-to-back third-place results as well as a win. Looking further out, he’s been in the Top 10 finishers in nine straight races with eight of those results being in the top five.

Overall, Keselowski has clearly cooled off from his summer run where he was in the top nine in seven straight races. He was 18th or worse in four straight races from September 27th to October 11th, but he’s placed sixth (last week) and fourth over the last two weeks. He’s a good bet for a top five prop here.

Chasing With Chase Elliott

Elliott is fresh off a disappointing result as the Hendrick Motorsport driver had to make an extra stop last week, which ended up shifting him down to 27th. He was able to finish 20th but nonetheless, that disappointing ending means that he’s tied with Alex Bowman for the first spot below the cutline.

Elliott had been doing pretty well before that as he had gone sixth, first, fifth, 22nd, seventh, and fifth in the six races prior. At Martinsville Speedway, Elliott has finished in the top nine spots in five of his last six outings. Look for another strong result from him as he makes a push to make the cut.

Bet On Blaney?

One driver who is a little bit further down the board that’s worth a look is Ryan Blaney. He’s only made nine career starts at Martinsville but, it’s his recent run that is impressive. Blaney’s been in the Top 10 in five of his last six starts with the lone miss being a 20th. He was the runner-up in June and has been in the top five in three straight.

Overall, Blaney is on a bit of a roll as he’s finished fourth, seventh, and fifth over his last three starts. Don’t expect him to win this race outright – he’s only led laps at Martinsville in two of his nine appearances – but he’s likely a good bet for a Top 10 prop or a Top 5 prop if you’re up for a little more risk.
