But, despite coming under intense pressure for long spells, they again departed with three points from a 1-0 win. Qualification in Sight for Van Nistelrooy’s Men
A win at the Emirates for Ruud van Nistelrooy’s men would open up a six-point lead between themselves and third-placed Bodo/Glimt with three games to go, but with them still having to travel to Norway, their qualification for the knockout phase can’t be confirmed in North London.
PSV have played Arsenal six times before in Europe – all of them in the Champions League – but across all of those games have only scored three times. They did however eliminate Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal from the 2006-07 tournament with a 2-1 aggregate win.
