Pick 1: Augsburg vs Red Bull Leipzig

Leaders Red Bull Leipzig meet surprise second-placed outfit Augsburg in an early-season top-of-the-table clash on Saturday.

It is no shock to see Leipzig up top after three fixtures following their third-placed finish last season and their run to the semifinals of the Champions League.

Augsburg, however, finished 15th  - just avoiding the relegations playoffs – and failed to win in their final three games of last season.

Draftkings make Leipzig big favorites at -190 but there is good value to be had in backing Augsburg to maintain their early momentum and claim at least a draw at the attractive price of +335.

Both teams have seven points with Leipzig on top with a goal difference of plus six compared to Augsburg’s plus four.

A home win for Augsburg is less likely at +500 at 8:30 am ET.

Both teams have seven points with Leipzig on top with a goal difference of plus-six compared to Augsburg’s plus four.

Augsburg will take inspiration from the fact that both of Leipzig’s wins so far have come against the current bottom two sides.

They won 3-1 on opening day at home against Mainz and were 4-0 winners on their own patch against last-placed Schalke 04 before the international break.

In between, they drew 1-1 at Bayer Leverkusen.

By contrast, Augsburg were 2-0 winners at home against mighty Borussia Dortmund in their second fixture following a 3-1 opening win at Union Berlin.

They were held 0-0 at Wolfsburg two weekends ago.

Long term, however, the form book suits Leipzig. They have lost just twice in the last 23 games with both defeats against powerful opposition in Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain, who were 3-0 winners in the UCL last four in July.

They have also won five of their last six away dates and were 2-1 winners when they last visited Augsburg in June.

Pick: Draw (+335)

Pick 2: Hertha Berlin vs Stuttgart

Mid-table Stuttgart visit a Hertha Berlin side which has lost its last two games.

So Draftkings’ price of +230 for a Stuttgart win looks attractive at 8:30 am ET on Saturday.

History goes with the hosts as newly-promoted Stuttgart have won just twice at Hertha in the past 29 years.

But current form says otherwise with Stuttgart unbeaten in their last two after a 3-2 opening day defeat at home against Freiburg.

Hertha are presently 13th and made a bright start to the campaign with a 4-1 win away at Werder Bremen.

They subsequently won 4-1 away at struggling Mainz before a 1-1 home draw against Bayer Leverkusen which has put them currently in eighth place.

Hertha are presently 13th and made a bright start to the campaign with a 4-1 win away at Werder Bremen.

But things dipped with a 3-1 home setback against Eintracht Frankfurt followed by a 4-3 reverse at Bayern Munich.

Stuttgart finished second in Bundesliga 2 last season,

Their new Congolese signing from Paris FC Silas Wamangituka scored in both opening Bundesliga games for his new side.

Hertha were 3-1 winners at home against Stuttgart last May and have won all four of their most recent meetings in Berlin.

Pick: Stuttgart (+230)

Pick 3: Arminia Bielefeld vs Bayern Munich

Reigning champions Bayern Munich have been involved in three high-scoring games so far.

They were stunning 8-0 winners against hapless Schalke 04 on opening day but then suffered an even more surprising 4-1 defeat against Hoffenheim.

The goal-fest continued in a 4-3 home win against Hertha Berlin before the international break.

It makes them huge favorites against newly-promoted Arminia Bielefeld at -530 for an away win.

There is much better value here in a spread option of +128 at -2.5 for fourth-placed Bayern to win by three or more goals (Asian Handicap -2.5 +128).

Robert Lewandowski has begun the season in rampant form and he hit all four goals against Hertha.

Bielefeld are 10th and are +1200 for a win with the draw at +650 at 11:30 am ET on Saturday.

Typically, Bayern’s prolific striker Robert Lewandowski has begun the season in rampant form and he hit all four goals against Hertha. He also scored  against Schalke.

Bielefeld were Bundesliga 2 champions last season. They have been tight defensively so far but low-scoring – although Bayern will be in the mood to puncture that stability.

The newcomers started promisingly with a 1-1 draw at Eintracht Frankfurt followed by a 1-0 home defeat of FC Koln. But they lost 1-0 at Werder Bremen last time out.

Pick: Bayern Munich – Asian Handicap -2.5 (+128)
