  • As the Bundesliga season approaches the halfway mark, Bayern Munich sits atop the table by a mere two points ahead of Friday’s match vs Monchengladbach
  • Second-place Leipzig are also tasked this weekend with playing Borussia Dortmund who sits six points below them in fourth place
  • Further down the Bundesliga table, fifth-placed Union Berlin takes on sixth place Wolfsburg. See our predictions for these matches and the odds for all games below

We are not even at the halfway mark of the Bundesliga season, and the table looks completely unpredictable. To make matters even better, six of the top seven sides will be playing each other this weekend in Bundesliga Round 15 in what should be a massive table shakeup. Bayern Munich will be challenged by Monchengladbach, while Leipzig must win against Dortmund to keep their pace with Bayern.

Union Berlin will look to solidify their Europa League place in fifth while Wolfsburg looks to knock them off as they are level on points. Even at the bottom of the table, relegation favorites Arminia take on Hertha Berlin in a match that could pull them out of the drop zone. Overall, this should be a Bundesliga Round 15 for the ages with major implications looming over nearly every side.

Bundesliga Pick #1: Monchengladbach vs Bayern Munich

The first match Bundesliga Round 15 fixtures is between Monchengladbach and Bayern Munich at Borussia Park. Despite three draws, Bayern Munich have been sensational in the Bundesliga this year only losing in Matchday 2 in what now looks like an absolute fluke 4-1 loss to Hoffenheim. Their offense only seems to get better and better as frontman, Robert Lewandowski already has 24 goal contributions.

However, Bayern are known for a slip up on the defensive end. In fact, they have allowed 21 goals in the Bundesliga this year, the worst mark in all of the top six. Surprisingly, Monchengladbach has actually split their last six matches with Bayern, seeing each side win three, with an aggregate score of 14-10 in favor of Bayern. With Lars Stindl attacking Munich’s defense, I expect this match to be closer than what some are expecting

My Pick: Monchengladbach +1 (-110)

Bundesliga Pick #2: Union Berlin vs Wolfsburg

The next match is an interesting one between Union Berlin and Wolfsburg. These sides have actually only played two competitive matches with one draw and a win going to Wolfsburg. They are currently level on points in the table but Union Berlin looks like they will be without Max Kruse and Joel Pohjanpalo who are responsible for eight of their goals and five on their assists in the Bundesliga.

Wolfsburg on the other hand, have a stout defense, only conceding 15 goals so far during the new campaign. They mainly rely on Wout Weghorst up top, a player with nine goals and the gene to be able to go out and just win a game by himself. For this reason, I favor Wolfsburg to go ahead and win this match on great moneyline odds.

My Pick: Wolfsburg moneyline (+160)

Bundesliga Pick #3: RB Leipzig vs Borussia Dortmund

The Bundesliga match everyone is looking forward to this weekend, RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund. Leipzig sits in second place and looks like the best title-challengers to Bayern Munich, having only dropped points once in their last six matches in a draw to Koln. However, they have been hit with the injury bug as well and will be without Justin Kluivert, Ibrahima Konate and Christopher Nkunku, which could really hurt their depth as the match progresses into the latter half.

The real question is, will this Dortmund side ever turn up? They are full of young, promising talent, but too often they fall flat and put out inconsistent results. They rely so much on Golden Boy Erling Haaland up top, which is fine because he is a brilliant attacker. But, going against a strong center-half like Dayot Upamecano, I will always favor the defense. For that reason, I expect Leipzig to continue to put the pressure on Bayern Munich in a fascinating title challenge.

My Pick: RB Leipzig moneyline (+130)
