Given the Italians indifferent away form in the competition in the past two seasons – they haven’t won in their last four road trips – the draw looks most promising here.

Italian champions Juventus and Atletico both have seven points and Moscow have three with pointless Bayer Leverkusen bottom of the group.

Unbeaten in UCL This Season

Under new coach Maurizio Sarri, Juventus are unbeaten in UCL fixtures this season.

They opened their campaign with a valuable 2-2 draw away at Atletico, although they let slip a two-goal lead. They then secured a 3-0 win at home against Bayer Leverkusen on Matchday 2.

That was followed by the home win against Lokomotiv.

Juventus are also undefeated  in Italy’s Serie A and lead the table after 10 games with eight wins and two draws

They trailed in the first-half but a late double strike from Paolo Dybala earned the win.

Juventus finished top of their group last season ahead of Manchester United, Valencia and Young Boys of Berne.

They were eliminated at the last 16 stage by Ajax. After a 1-1 draw in Amsterdam, they were beaten 2-1 at home to end Cristiano Ronaldo’s dream of winning the UCL in his first season with the Italian giants.

Twice European Champions

The Turin outfit has twice been European Champions in 1984-85 and 1995-1996.

But they have lost no fewer than seven European Cup/ Champions League finals – twice in recent years.

They were defeated by Barcelona in 2014-15 and by Real Madrid in 2016-17.
