Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United side have manoeuvred into serious contention for a Champions League qualifying place during a 10-match unbeaten league run.
Southampton have climbed from 14th to 12th place in an encouraging restart period in which they have suffered only one defeat and are particularly good away from home.

United on Goal-Scoring Spree
After they scored 14 goals in the last four games, the spread offer of -111 for United to win by at least two goals is the best offer here.
However, their three most recent league wins have all come against strugglers – Brighton, Bournemouth and Aston Villa.
In all competitions, United are on a 17-match undefeated run. They remain in contention in the FA Cup and the Europa League.
They entered the Round 35 weekend in fifth place with 58 points.
United have been transformed by the signing of influential Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon in January.
There has been particular excitement about the form of 18-year-old forward Mason Greenwood, who has scored four times since the restart.

A 3-0 defeat of Aston Villa Thursday was the latest win in United’s impressive run, with Greenwood, Fernandes and Pogba all scoring goals.
They began the re-start with a 1-1 draw at home against Tottenham Hotspur.
Wins Against Lower-Half Teams
Then came a 3-0 home win against Sheffield United before three more victories against sides in the lower half of the table.
A 3-0 win away against Brighton was followed by a 5-2 hammering of Bournemouth at Old Trafford – with youngster Greenwood scoring twice – before the defeat of Aston Villa.

Southampton are in mid-table and head to Old Trafford fresh from a 1-1 draw away against Everton last Thursday.
That came after an impressive 1-0 home defeat of second-placed Manchester City.
The Saints had lost the two matches prior to shut-down. But they returned last month with a 3-0 win against bottom club Norwich City.
It was a 1-1 draw when these teams met at Southampton’s St. Mary’s last August.
They then succumbed 2-0 at home against Arsenal but beat strugglers Watford 3-1 away before the victory against City.

Southampton striker Danny Ings has scored 19 of the team’s 43 league goals, a mark good for third on the scoring charts, three behind EPL leader Jamie Vardy of Leicester City.
Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are United’s leading goal-getters with 15 strikes each while Greenwood has scored nine times.
Manchester United are closing in on the signing of Jadon Sancho with Dortmund hoping to use the sale to boost their financial situation, according to the Express.

These numbers suggest both teams will get on the scoresheet Monday, although United’s prolific recent goal-scoring makes the spread offer in their favour a tempting one.
Only Two Home Defeats
United have not been beaten on their own patch since a surprise 2-0 set-back against Burnley on January 22.
They have the third best home statistics in the EPL with 10 wins, five draws and only two defeats, scoring 37 goals and conceding 14 times in that span.

The only other home league defeat was another surprise in a 2-1 reverse against Crystal Palace last August.
Southampton have the competition’s fifth best statistics on the road with no fewer than eight wins, three draws and six defeats. They have scored 23 times and conceded on 26 occasions.
They have won two of their last three away fixtures and secured a notable away victory against high-flying Leicester City in January.
Pick: Manchester United +1½ (-111)
