Over/Under and Spread

Draftkings have pitched over 2.5 goals at even money, while under is listed at a less-appealing -120 – the suggestion being that two evenly matched teams will play out a tight, low-scoring contest.

Real Betis vs Roma Prediction

After just three games, Betis are already on the brink of making it to the knockout phase. Their 2-1 win in Rome last week not only maintained their magnificent 100 percent record in this season’s tournament but put no less than six points between themselves and Roma. A win here will guarantee their progress although a draw may also be enough.

The win in the Stadio Olimpico was achieved in thrilling circumstances after Betis came from a goal down to clinch the three points with an 88th-minute winner from Luiz Henrique.

Home Banker for Betis?

Betis’ domestic form has also been good and they currently sit fifth in La Liga despite earning just a goalless draw away at Real Valladolid at the weekend. Their home form has been good in all competitions but has been exceptional in the UEL where they are unbeaten in ten – winning six and drawing four.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side have won all five of their home matches in all competitions this season and have never lost to an Italian team in Seville. Their most recent meeting with Italian opponents ended 1-1 when they played AC Milan in the 2018-19 UEL group stages.

Roma on the Brink

After winning last season’s Europa Conference League, Roma will have been hopeful of going all the way in this season’s Europa League but, after taking just three points from their first three games, are in danger of not making it out of Group C.

Their campaign got off to the worse possible start with a shock  2-1 away loss against Ludogorets of Bulgaria on Matchday 1, and although they then managed to collect three points from an easy 3-0 home win over HJK Helsinki, the home defeat by Betis last Thursday dealt a bitter blow to their chances.

Good Serie Form from Jose’s Men

Jose Mourinho’s team may have struggled in the UEL but have been consistent in Serie A where they are sixth with a 6-1-2 record. Their 2-1 win over Lecce at the weekend left them just four points adrift of leaders, Napoli – goals coming from  Chris Smalling and Paulo Dybala.

Roma now need to turn that good domestic form into good Europa League results, and also need to overturn a poor recent run of away games in Spain, where, in the Champions League, they lost their last three to Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid.

Real Betis vs Roma Team Lineups and Injuries

Betis Projected Lineup: Bravo, Ruibal, Pezzella, Felipe, Miranda, Rodriguez, Carvalho, Henrique, Canales, Rodri, Iglesias.

Real Betis vs Roma Pick

Betis’ fine home form in Europe gives them a definite edge, and the incentive of them securing their place in the knockout phase with a win makes the home win almost irresistible. The +160 on offer also makes it a value bet.

Picks: Real Betis to win (+160) / Over 2.5 goals (+100)
