- A look at the Lamar Jackson odds along with analysis can be found below
The biggest question surrounding the Baltimore Ravens as they head into the offseason is if quarterback Lamar Jackson will be with them at the start of the 2023 season.
Jackson missed the last six games of this season, including sitting out the Ravens’ 24-17 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday night in the wild-card round of the NFL Playoffs. Jackson’s rookie contract has expired and adding an extra layer of intrigue is that he did not accompany the team to Cincinnati.
The Ravens, of course, could always re-sign Jackson. They could also place the franchise tag on him to either keep him for one more season or trade him.
Odds have been set on what team Jackson will begin the 2023 season with. If he remains with the Ravens, all bets will be voided.

The New York Jets are the favored landing spot for Jackson at +300. That gives them an implied probability of 25% percent to wind up with Jackson when the 2023 season begins.
A Baltimore Fixture
The Ravens drafted Jackson with the last pick of the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft after he won the Heisman Trophy at the University of Louisville. He was the NFL MVP in 2019 and has also been selected to two Pro Bowls.
Jackson became the Ravens’ starting quarterback in Week 11 of his rookie season and they have qualified for the playoffs in four of his five seasons. Baltimore has also gone 45-16 in regular-season games started by Jackson.

The 26-year-old was injured this season in Week 13 during a 10-9 victory over the Denver Broncos. He finished the year with 2,242 passing yards, 764 rushing yards, 17 touchdown passes, seven interceptions and a 62.3 completion percentage.
Though the Ravens still made the playoffs with backup quarterbacks Tyler Huntley and Anthony Brown, they went 2-4 after losing Jackson. They also did not score more than 17 points in any of the six games and some inside the organization questioned if Jackson would have played if his contract situation was settled.
Jets the Favorites to Land Jackson
If Jackson leaves the Ravens, the Jets are favored to be his next destination in the Jackson next team odds betting market at PointsBet.
Jets coach Robert Saleh says the organization is still committed to quarterback Zach Wilson. However, in two years since being the No. 2 overall draft pick, Wilson has an 8-14 record while throwing 15 TD passes and being intercepted 18 times.
Jets owner Woody Johnson told reporters last week that he would be willing to pay a heavy price to add a star quarterback. Jackson would certainly command top dollar and the Ravens would want much draft capital in a sign-and-trade scenario.
Contenders to Sign Lamar Jackson
The Atlanta Falcons are second on the board at +400 and the New England Patriots are third at +600.
Rookie Desmond Ridder replaced Marcus Mariota as the Falcons’ starting QB for the final four games of this season. While Atlanta likes Ridder’s potential, Jackson would represent a significant upgrade.

The Patriots have yet to come close to adequately replacing Tom Brady since he left as a free agent following the 2020 season. Considering the regression Mac Jones showed this season in his second year in the NFL, Jackson would look good as the Patriots’ QB1.
Lamar Jackson Next Team Odds Best Bet
Jackson reportedly wants a fully guaranteed contract like the six-year, $245-million deal Deshaun Watson got from the Cleveland Browns. The Ravens have been unwilling to meet that demand and likely will move on from Jackson.
Watson’s old team, the Houston Texans, looks like a good value play for Jackson at +1200.
The Texans have devolved into a clown show with their last two coaches, David Culley and Lovie Smith, being fired after only one season each. Davis Mills has proven he is not an NFL-caliber starting quarterback.
Texans general manager Nick Caserio desperately needs to make a franchise-altering move. Acquiring Jackson would be it.
