Friday night presents one of the most entertaining regular season games as the two top Eastern conference teams’ clash, when the Boston Bruins host the Pittsburgh Penguins, at 7 PM ET at the TD Garden.

The Penguins are dominating the East with a nine point lead of the Bruins in the standings. Pittsburgh has won five in a row, including a 6-4 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday.

“He was absolutely flying,” Pittsburgh forward Jarome Iginla said about Brenden Moore. “It was great.”

“Now that Brenden Morrow is in there…he’s certainly going to see some time on Malkin’s wing with James Neal,” coach Dan Bylsma said. “But I also think you’ll see him play with Brandon Sutter on a third line role.”

The Boston Bruins lost to the Sabres on Wednesday night in what was an emotional night for the city. “We wanted to go out there and win that hockey game. I’m disappointed that we didn’t,” Bruins Chris Kelly said. “We wanted to give the city something to be happy about.”

“It’s not about trying to make this city proud of your team tonight, but every night,” Bruins coach Claude Julien said.

Boston has lost both games they played against Pittsburgh this season. “They played pretty sound defensively, you’ve got to give them that even though their top guys (were out),”Brad Marchand said when they lost the last game against the Penguins 2-1 in March. “That makes it a little bit tough to play against, but we’ve got to find a way.”

The Penguins are 5-0 straight up against the Bruins dating last season.
