Last year, the Cincinnati Reds (50-76, 26-36 home) won the season series from the St Louis Cardinals (74-54, 32-32 away) for the first time since 2011. As far as doing so again in 2022, that ship hasn’t set sail yet, but the Reds’ hopes are sinking fast.

With seven games left to play against each other, Cincinnati trails St Louis 7-4 overall. The Reds met the Cardinals Monday in the opener of a three-game home set.

Just two wins away from clinching the season set, oddsmakers are placing the Cardinals at -210 favorites to win over Cincinnati on Tuesday. St Louis is a National League-best 36-18 against the runline following a loss.
