Return to MMA or Go Back to Wrestling?

Brock Lesnar returning to MMA has been a possibility ever since his 2016 win against Mark Hunt at UFC 200. However, I doubt he returns to MMA at this point in his career.

Lesnar is 43-years-old and could’ve returned to MMA in 2018. After Daniel Cormier beat Stipe Miocic at UFC 226 to win the heavyweight title, Lesnar stormed the Octagon and shoved Cormier.

Lesnar then re-entered the USADA drug-testing pool to further show he was interested in making a return to MMA. Yet, he could not come to terms with the UFC over pay demands.

Since then there has not been any talk of him returning.

If Brock Lesnar didn’t return to fight for the UFC’s heavyweight title in 2018, I can’t see him making a return to MMA now.

As for wrestling, I do believe he will end up back in that world, but the bigger question is does he remain in WWE or sign with AEW?

Lesnar has always used a return to MMA as leverage to get more money from Vince McMahon and I believe that is what he is doing here. I fully expect him to remain in wrestling and sign a deal with WWE or AEW before the year is up.

Best Bet for Each

Although I think the odds are slim Brock Lesnar returns to MMA, if he does it will only be for the UFC and to fight Jon Jones. The former light heavyweight champion has been calling Lesnar out and Dana White said he would book the fight if both men want it.

Really, the ball is in Lesnar’s court on whether or not he will return to MMA, and if he does it is Jon Jones or nothing.

The more intriguing option is if he stays in wrestling. He could easily stay in WWE or perhaps he does make the jump to AEW and try and become a massive star there. I believe Brock Lesnar will re-sign with the WWE and his first match back will be against either Roman Reigns or Bray Wyatt.

With Wyatt being +1500 I think he is worth a stab at that price as to me, it is a 50/50 chance he fights either Reigns or Wyatt next time out. The demand is also not there for another match with Reigns at this time.

Pick: Bray Wyatt (+1500)
