James Harden will have the opportunity to shock the world and send his ex-teammates home if the Houston Rockets manage to beat the OKC Thunder if the first round of the playoffs; game one is Sunday at 9:30 PM ET.

“It comes with the package,” Harden said. “I have to do a good job of handling it well, making sure I’m doing the right things. Obviously, I’m new to this. I might make some mistakes but just continue to work at it.

“As a leader, as the head honcho guy, having all the attention on me — it’s new to me. But I’m trying my best to do a good job with it.”

The Thunder won the series against the Rockets 2-1, everything stars from scratch now.

“It’s 0-0,” forward Chandler Parsons said. “I’m perfectly happy about going in there and playing against the Thunder. I think we’re better than the eighth seed. It was obviously a really tough race, so there’s not much distance between sixth and eighth. I think we’re ready to go. We’ve beaten them before this year, so it’s a positive sign.”

The Thunder play a fast pace offense that can’t be handled by most teams; well, Houston might be one of those teams that can handle it, but they need to improve in the defensive side.

“We had a good regular season,” said OKC head coach Scott Brooks. “It’s time to move ahead and look to the next step.”

Houston has covered the spread in four of the last six games against OKC. The Thunder is 11 point favorites in the spread for Sunday.
