Donovan Mitchell and the Utah Jazz will get another shot at Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday night. The Jazz are coming in hot to this one as winners of twelve of their last 13 games.

The Hawks are struggling a bit after losing three of their last four games. They played Luka Doncic and the Mavericks tough last night only to succumb in the second half.

The Jazz have held the upper hand in this series by winning and covering in three of the last four meetings. In this matchup, the Jazz are favored by 7.5 points in this matchup and there are plenty of player props to consider.

Joe Ingles Can Dish Too

Joe Ingles is a swiss army knife type player. His role seems to change on a nightly basis depending on need. Lately, with a relatively healthy roster, Ingles has been asked to facilitate the second-team offense. He’s seeing minutes in the 20s and he’s flourishing.

The Atlanta Hawks are not exactly the type of team you target for assists but they are also not one to avoid either. They are currently 11th in the NBA in opponent assists per field goal made at 58.1%. The thing is, they do have “spike games” where they allow 60+% like last night’s against Dallas where they were almost 63% in the metric.

The Jazz like to shoot the three-ball as only two teams in the NBA shoot more from behind the arc on a per game basis. The issue tonight is Atlanta covers the perimeter on an elite level. In fact, only one team holds opponents to a lower shooting percentage from three-point land. The Jazz lead the NBA in pick and roll frequency and could opt for even more tonight.

In the last five games, Joe Ingles has gone over the five assist total in four of them. The exception was a game against Dallas where he only had four. His role figures to stay the same tonight and he could see even more minutes if this one gets out of hand. He looks to be a good bet to go over his assist total.

The Pick: Joe Ingles Over 4.5 Assists (-130)

Clint Capela Will Be Ready

The Hawks have received more than anyone thought they would get out of Clint Capela this season. He is averaging a career-high in rebounds per game and he has been dominant on the defensive side of the ball coming in third in the NBA in blocks. Atlanta will need all it can get from Capela tonight in a battle with Utah’s Rudy Gobert.

As good as the Jazz have been rebounding this season, we have still seen centers go for big games in that metric. Mason Plumlee just went for 14 against them on Tuesday night and Nikola Jokic went for 12 the night before. 13.5 is a large number but in this spot, Capela is capable of going for 20+. The large number feels like a discount in many ways.

The Pick: Clint Capela Over 13.5 Rebounds (+108)
