Two teams jockeying for playoff position in the Eastern Conference square off when the Indiana Pacers visit the Atlanta Hawks at 1pm ET Sunday at State Farm Arena.
The Pacers (26-29) are in the ninth place in the Eastern Conference and three games behind the sixth-place New York Knicks (30-27) in their bid to avoid the play-in round. Indiana has lost two of its last three, including 119-111 to the Utah Jazz on the road Friday as a 10-point underdog.
The Hawks (30-26) are tied with the Boston Celtics for fourth place in the East – the top four finishers will have homecourt advantage in the first round of the playoffs. Atlanta had its three-game winning streak snapped Thursday with a 120-109 loss to the visiting Milwaukee Bucks as four-point underdogs but are 16-6 since Nate McMillan took over as coach.

LeVert Setting the Pace
Caris LeVert scored a game-high 24 points for the Pacers on Friday as he continues his scoring tear. He has had at least 24 points in four straight games and is averaging 27.8 during that span.
In 19 games with the Pacers since being acquired from the New Jersey Nets in a trade then having kidney surgery, LeVert has an 18.5-point scoring average.

Domantas Sabonis had his fifth straight double-double as he contributed 22 points, 15 rebounds and seven assists. It was his 39th double-double of the season.
Malcolm Brodgon added 16 points.
The Pacers struggled offensively as they shot 39.0% (41-of-105) from the field. Indiana was also outrebounded 56-43, though it did force the Jazz, who have best record in the NBA, into 20 turnovers.
The Pacers took a 17-point lead midway through the second quarter. However, things slowly fell apart and they scored on just 10 possessions over the game’s last 15 minutes.

Myles Turner and Doug McDermott both missed the game with sprained left ankles and are unlikely to play Sunday. Turner sat out six straight games and McDermott has been sidelined for the last two.
Bogey Soaring for Hawks
Bogdan Bogdanovic scored at least 20 points for fifth time in the last six games, though it wasn’t enough to keep the Hawks from losing Thursday to Milwaukee. He finished with 28 points, seven assists, six rebounds and six three-point field goals.

Solomon Hill was 6-of-10 from long distance for a season-high 18 points. It was just the fourth time Hill has scored in double figures in 55 games this season. Bogdanovic and Hill helped the Hawks make 41.2% (14-of-34) of their shots from beyond the arc. However, the Hawks were outrebounded 52-39.
Clint Capela had 16 points and 16 rebounds for his ninth consecutive double-double and 37th of the season. Kevin Huerter also scored 16 points.

Trae Young had 15 points and nine assists but looked rusty after missing two games with a calf injury. Averaging a team-high 25.2 points a game, Young made just 3-of-17 field goal attempts.
Danilo Gallinari missed his third straight game with a foot injury. John Collins (ankle), De’Andre Hunter (knee) and Cam Reddish (Achilles) are all out with longer-term injuries.
Pacers Dominate Hawks
The Pacers have won eight of their last nine games against Atlanta, including a 125-113 victory on Feb. 13 in Atlanta as 1.5-point underdogs.
McDermott led the Pacers with 26 points while Turner had 19 points and 10 rebounds and Brogdon finished with 18 points and eight assists. Indiana also got 18 points from Aaron Holiday, 15 points from Justin Holiday and a 14-point, 13-rebound, seven-assist performance from Sabonis.
The Hawks were led by Clint Capela’s 24 points and 10 rebounds. Danilo Gallinari added 20 points, Collins and Reddish contributed 18 points apiece and Young chipped in with 15 points and 14 assists.
The Hawks have played well under McMillan but always seem to struggle against the Pacers, so the lean goes to Indiana here.
