Drexel Betting Outlook

Drexel has been a profitable road team with a 7-2 record against the spread. The Dragons are 11-7 overall.

On Sunday, Drexel hung tough with UNC-Wilmington despite getting a season-low eight points from leading scorer Camren Wynter. The senior guard had just eight points while making 2 of 12 field goal attempts and going 0 for 5 from three-point range.

Drexel certainly could have used Wynter’s regular scoring output. He is averaging 15.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists a game.

Wynter is second in the CAA in assists and fourth in scoring.

Senior guard Coletrane Washington continued his recent scoring surge with a team-high 14 points. Washington has scored in double figures in three of the last five games after failing to have as many as 10 points in any of his first 13 games this season.

Senior guard Melik Martin added 12 points and seven rebounds. The Monmouth transfer nudged his season averages in those categories to 10.3 and 4.9.

Martin helped Drexel hold a 39-29 rebounding edge. The Dragons, though, had 19 turnovers to UNC-Wilmington’s six.

Sophomore forward Amari Washington blocked three shots

Senior forward James Butler (11.0) and sophomore guard Xavier Bell (10.9) also have double-digit scoring averages. Additionally, Butler is putting down 8.5 rebounds a game, which is third in the conference.

Delaware Betting Outlook

Delaware is only 1-6 ATS at home this season but 9-12 overall.

The Blue Hens will be without senior forward Dylan Painter (ankle) for a third straight game. He leads the team with 14.3 and 8.0 rebounds a game.

Delaware got big contributions from some unlikely sources Saturday in beating James Madison. Junior guard Ebby Asamoah scored a career-high 30 points and freshman forward Jayre Davis also had a career best with 22 points.

Asamoah was 8 of 11 from the floor, 6 of 9 beyond the arc and 8 of 8 at the free throw line. Davis added seven rebounds and six assists to go with 10-of-14 shooting.

Asamoah is coming on strong heading into the stretch run of the season with six straight double-figure scoring games after having only one in the first 14 games. Davis, a transfer from Providence, scored in double digits for just the second time this season and doubled his previous career high.

Sophomore forward Andrew Carr grabbed eight rebounds and dished six assists while scoring five points.

Delaware held James Madison to 39.0% (23 of 59) shooting.

Three other Blue Hens are averaging double digits in points – junior guard and George Washington transfer Jameer Nelson Jr. (13.0), senior guard Ryan Allen (12.8) and senior guard Kevin Anderson (11.3).

Anderson is also fourth in the CAA with 3.8 assists a game for the Blue Hens, who are 65th nationally in KenPom’s adjusted offensive efficiency with 109.0 points per 100 possessions.

Drexel vs Delaware Predictions

Delaware notched an 81-77 road victory over Drexel on Jan. 11 behind 23 points from Allen. Nelson added 20 points and five assists while Painter had 14 points and nine rebounds.

Bell scored 18 points for Drexel and Martin finished with 16 points and seven rebounds.

The ATS numbers for the season lean Drexel’s way in this matchup. The Pennsylvania betting public can expect the Dragons to keep it close against their longtime rivals.
