Sophomore guards Tyler Kolek and Kam Jones scored 22 points each on Saturday to lead the Golden Eagles over DePaul.

Kolek also had 14 assists and went 11 from 12 from the free-throw line. He was 9 of 10 on foul shots in the last 2:04 as Marquette held on for the win.

Kolek notched his second double-double of the season and fifth 20-point game. At 7.8 a game, Kolek leads the Big East in assists and his 1.8 steals average is fifth.

Jones had a career-high seven three-point field goals in 10 attempts and made three steals on his 21st birthday. He helped Marquette shoot 42.9% (12 of 28) from beyond the arc.

Jones has seven 20-point games and a team-leading 15.2 scoring average. Sophomore forward Olivier Maxence-Prosper’s scoring average is 12.5.

Sophomore forward Oso Ighodaro has averages of 11.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.5 blocked shots. His 66.1 field goal percentage is second in the conference.

On Saturday, Ighodaro had 12 points and Maxence-Prosper added 11, though Marquette allowed DePaul to shoot 51.7% (31 of 60). Sophomore guard Stevie Mitchell had four steals as the Golden Eagles forced 17 turnovers and held a 37-27 rebounding advantage.

Marquette is eighth in the country in field goal percentage (49.3) and 17th in scoring (80.8).

Sophomore wing Simas Lukosius and senior wing Ali Ali each had 15 points last Wednesday when Butler slipped past DePaul.

Ali also had five rebounds and five assists to go with 6-of-9 shooting, Lukosius grabbed seven rebounds.

Butler made just 3 of 17 (17.6%) three-point attempts. However, the Bulldogs held DePaul to 38.6% shooting (22 of 57).

Sophomore guard Jayden Taylor scored 13 points despite missing all five attempts from distance. He maintained his team-best 13.1 scoring average.

Senior center Manny Bates is averaging 12.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.0 blocks a game. The North Carolina State transfer is fourth in the Big East with his 61.7 field goal percentage and third in rejections.

Lukosius (11.4) and junior guard Chuck Harris (10.7) are also averaging double digits for Butler. The Bulldogs are scoring just 65.6 points a game, which ranks 323rd in Division I.
