NC State Wolfpack Wildly Inconsistent Recently

Last week contained extreme highs and lows for the Wolfpack. They began with a resounding win over their “big brothers” the Tar Heels and they followed that up with a 16 point beatdown against Wake Forest.

What followed was a stunning 25 point home defeat to a Clemson side that were 5.5-point underdogs to the Wolfpack. In that game, NC State allowed the Tigers to shoot 59.6% from the floor. They won’t go far in the ACC tournament playing defense like that.

Following a double-digit loss at home, results have not been kind to NC State. They are 0-5 against the spread in their last five contests after losing by 10 or more on their own court.

To make matters worse for NC State, the visitors may be without their two top rebounders for their date with Duke. Dusan Mahorcic is still out with a knee injury suffered in early-December, while Jack Clark missed the loss to Clemson with a shoulder issue.
