One of those Cinderella candidates is Oral Roberts, who’ll take on Florida in the 15 vs 7 matchup in the South Region. The Golden Eagles shocked 2-seed Ohio State on Friday, but are getting no love from online sportsbooks ahead of their clash with the Gators.
Biggest and Smallest Spreads
Oral Roberts is currently an 8.5-point underdog versus Florida, which represents the most lopsided spread on the boards. They’re just the ninth 15-seed in NCAA Tournament history to upset a 2-seed, but their performance was no fluke.

The Golden Eagles entered March Madness on a five-game winning streak, which included a Summit League Championship. They committed just six turnovers in the First Round, and still managed to upset the Buckeyes despite one of their worst shooting performances of the season.

The Gators on the other hand, barely snuck past Virginia Tech, needing overtime to down the Hokies. They struggled down the stretch in league play and didn’t make it out of the quarterfinal in the SEC Tournament. Florida’s victory over VT was also the first time they’ve covered in their past five outings, and they were just 2-5 ATS as a favorite of 7.5-points or more this season.
The lowest spread on the board meanwhile, has Texas Tech favored by 1 over Arkansas in the South Region’s 6 vs 3 matchup. The Red Raiders are the only lower seed currently favored on Sunday, and are fresh off forcing 22 turnovers against Utah State, while holding the Aggies to 53 points.

Arkansas meanwhile, dug themselves an early 14-point hole versus Colgate, but quickly turned things around and wound up cruising to a 17-point victory.
Highest and Lowest Totals
As far as Sunday’s totals go, the highest one belongs to the Golden Eagles and Gators at 148. Oral Roberts ranked 11th in the nation in points per game this season, and were the best free throw shooting team in the country. They have two legit stars in Kevin Obanor and Max Abmas, who combined for 59 points against Ohio State.

Florida doesn’t boast a defense to fear, but features a group more than capable of putting up big points. The Gators averaged 74 points per outing this season, and should have no problem scoring on an Oral Roberts program that ranked 274th in adjusted defensive efficiency (per KenPom).
The lowest total on the board belongs to North Texas and Villanova, in the South Region’s 13 vs 5 matchup. The Wildcats held Winthrop to 63 points and 36.2% from the field in the First Round, marking the fifth time in seven games they’ve held an opponent below 64 points.
