Kentucky Betting Outlook

Quarterback Will Levis is not only having an outstanding season but there is increasing chatter that he could possibly be the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Levis has completed 67.5% of his 117 pass attempts for 1,185 yards. He has also thrown 10 touchdowns pass while being intercepted four times.

After Northern Illinois played Kentucky to a 14-14 halftime tie, Levis got the Wildcats going in the opening minute of third quarter. He found Barion Brown for a 70-yard touchdown pass that put Kentucky ahead for good.

Levis had a career-high four scoring passes while going 18 of 26 for 303 yards, though he was sacked five times. Levis also had touchdown passes of 40 and 69 yards to Tayvion Robinson and a 15-yarder to Brown.

Robinson finished with seven receptions for 147 yards and Brown caught four passes for 102 yards. For the season, Robinson has team highs with 20 catches and 349 yards.

Kentucky is hoping to get its ground game on track by welcoming back running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. He was suspended for the first four games of the season.

The Wildcats are averaging just 81.5 yards rushing a game and 2.4 yards a carry. Rodriguez has totaled 2,740 yards and 26 touchdowns on the ground in 36 career games.

Kentucky’s defense has been among the best in the nation during the first month of the season. The Wildcats rank 11th in points allowed (13.0) and 17th in total yards given up (272.0).

Ole Miss Betting Outlook

Ole Miss struggled to get past Tulsa.

The Rebels scored 28 points in the second quarter to take a 35-17 halftime lead. They were shut out in the second half but held on to stay unbeaten.

The duo of quarterback Jaxson Dart, who has +10000 Heisman Trophy odds, and true freshman running back Quinshon Judkins led the way for Ole Miss.

Dart threw for 154 yards and two touchdowns on 13-of-24 passing while also rushing 13 times for 116 yards. Judkins went for 140 yards and two scores on the ground in 27 carries and was named SEC co-Freshman of the Week.

Ole Miss added more than 30 transfers prior to the season and Dart was an important one after starting six games for USC last season. This year, he has connected on 62.2% of his 82 passes for 697 yards and five touchdowns with two interceptions.

Judkins has rushed for at least 87 yards in all four games and surpassed 100 yards twice. Overall, he has 429 yards and five touchdowns on 70 carries. Zach Evans has added 365 yards and four TDs.

Ole Miss has given up just 40 points in four games and its 10.0 average ranks sixth in the FBC. The Rebels are 29th in total defense at 312.5 yards a game.

Kentucky vs Ole Miss Prediction

The teams last met in 2020 with Ole Miss winning 42-41 in overtime at Kentucky. Rodriguez rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries for the Wildcats.

Ole Miss has won nine of the last 12 in the series and holds an overall advantage of 29-14-1. However, Kentucky is a live underdog in this spot, especially with adding Rodriguez back to the lineup.
