Seahawks Expected to Rebound
Despite being upset on their home field by the New York Giants 17-12 on Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks (8-4) have opened as a 13.5-point favorite over the visiting and winless New York Jets (0-12)
The Seahawks hope to fare better against New York’s other team after falling as 10-point favorites in their first home loss of the season.
Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and one of the top offenses in the NFL were shut down by the Giants. Seattle also lost despite backup Colt McCoy starting at quarterback for New York in place of injured Daniel Jones.

The Jets, meanwhile, lost a 31-28 heartbreaker at home to the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. The Raiders scored the winning touchdown with five seconds left on a 46-yard pass from Derek Carr to Henry Ruggs III.
New York tied a franchise record with its 12th straight loss. The Jets are in danger of joining the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns as the third team to finish 0-16 in NFL history.

Falcons Slim Road Favorites
The smallest line on the board is the 1.5 points by which the visiting Atlanta Falcons are favored over the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Falcons’ record fell to 4-8 with the loss to the Saints in Atlanta. The Falcons did notch a moral victory by scoring the first touchdown against New Orleans in 15 quarters, but it was not enough.
Matt Ryan drove the Falcons, who were 2.5-point underdogs, 85 yards for the TD, culminating in his 10-yard pass to Russell Gage with 7:43 left.

Down 21-16, Atlanta had a chance to win the game late, but Ryan threw incomplete into the end zone on fourth down.
The Chargers (3-9) took their worst loss in franchise history Sunday, getting routed 45-0 by the visiting New England Patriots as 1.5-point favorites.
In losing for the fifth time in six games, the Chargers allowed the Patriots to score twice on special teams in the second quarter. Gunner Olszewski took a punt back 70 yards and Devin McCourty returned a blocked field goal 44 yards as time expired in the first half.

The Chargers’ previous worst loss was by 43 points, 49-6 to the Kansas City Chiefs in 1964.
Highs and lows
The over/under of 54.5 for the Green Bay Packers’ game against the Lions at Detroit is the largest on the slate.
The Packers beat the Philadelphia Eagles 30-16 on Sunday behind Aaron Jones’ 130 yards rushing that included a game-clinching 77 touchdown run with 2:36 left. Aaron Rodgers completed 25 of 34 passes for 295 yards and three TD.

The Lions rallied for a 34-30 victory over the Chicago Bears in their first game under interim coach Darrell Bevell. Matthew Stafford threw for 402 yards and three touchdowns.
The total for the Dallas Cowboys-Bengals game in Cincinnati is the lowest at 42.5. That is not a surprise considering both the Cowboys (Andy Dalton) and Bengals (Brandon Allen) are playing their backup quarterbacks following season-ending injuries to Dak Prescott and Joe Burrow.
Movement on The Line
The Chiefs took an 10-1 record into their game against the Denver Broncos on Sunday night in Kansas City and are 7.5-point favorites over the Dolphins in Miami.
As much as the public loves to back marquee teams and Patrick Mahomes, look for the spread to drop at least a little. After all, the Dolphins are 8-4 and have won seven of their last eight games.

The Bengals have been downright putrid offensively in two games with Allen at quarterback and are now 2-9-1.
However, being 3.5-point home underdogs to the Dallas Cowboys seems a bit much. The Cowboys are just 3-8, have lost five of six games and are coming off getting blown out at home by the Washington Football Team on Thanksgiving.
