  • In the Chargers vs Jaguars inactive and injury reports, Chargers WR Mike Williams (back) won’t play
  • Trevor Lawrence (toe) is questionable, but there’s hardly any doubt that he’ll suit up for his first playoff game
  • Jaguars have five players questionable, while LA has a pretty clean bill of health, minus Williams

Super Wild Card weekend is upon us, and with that, it marks the first playoff contests in the careers of Justin Herbert and Trevor Lawrence. The latter is questionable to compete, but all signs point to him suiting up. The former will be without the services of trusted wideout Mike Williams, who hurt his back last weekend. Read on for Chargers vs Jaguars inactive and injury reports.

Apart from that, the remaining Chargers who were potentially unavailable to play appear on track to compete. Jacksonville might not be so lucky with five players questionable. The final inactive list won’t come out until 90 minutes before kickoff, but the injury report is something important to monitor.

Chargers Favored Over Jaguars

Despite Mike Williams’ absence, Brandon Staley and co. are the slight favorites in the eyes of oddsmakers over Doug Pederson’s squad. LA is set as 1.5 road favorites over Jacksonville, but our model has the game going in the Jags’ favor 24.5-21 in the Chargers vs Jaguars picks.

Kickoff at TIAA Bank Field is set for 8:15 pm ET on Saturday, January 14th. The weather forecast is calling for it to be clear with twelve MPH wind and temperatures in the low 40s. NBC is carrying the broadcast. As of Saturday afternoon, the Bolts were getting 56 percent of bets placed on them on the moneyline in the Chargers vs Jaguars betting splits.

Los Angeles Chargers Injury Report

Chargers Head Coach Brandon Staley is being criticized for playing starters deep into a meaningless Week 18 contest against the Broncos. By doing so, key wide receiver Mike Williams injured his back, making him unavailable to play this game.

However, as of Saturday, they have an extremely great bill of health otherwise, with seven players full participants in practice.

The seven Chargers who participated are led by Joey Bosa, who returned to play the last two games. The others are CB Bryan Callahan, LB Kenneth Murray, tackle Trey Pipkins, safety Raheem Layne, FB Zander Horvath, and LB Amen Ogbongbemiga.

Jacksonville Jaguars Injury Report

The Jacksonville Jaguars were not as lucky as the Chargers when it comes to their own injury report. The good news is kicker Riley Patterson was a full participant in practice. Five players are questionable, however, led by quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

Their star pivot will reportedly suit up for this one. Wideouts Jamal Agnew and Kendric Pryor might not be able to go, along with OL Brandon Scherff and long-snapper Ross Matiscik.

How Injuries Could Affect Chargers vs Jaguars Lines

Surely, if the Chargers’ offense comes out slowly, the heat will only intensify on Brandon Staley for leaving Mike Williams out to play their last game of the season. With him gone, other receivers like Keenan Allen and Joshua Palmer will be major focuses in the Chargers vs Jaguars player props.

Trevor Lawrence has been battling a toe injury for a while, but it hasn’t caused him to miss any action. However, he hasn’t thrown for more than 229 yards in his last three outings, with one touchdown pass and one interception in that span.
