Tampa Bay Buccaneers Betting Analysis

For the second time this season, Brady and the Bucs dismantled the Atlanta Falcons in Week 13. Brady threw for 368 yards and 4 TD, as Tampa Bay cruised to a 30-17 victory.

Brady and Rob Gronkowski connected for two scores, while Brady, the current MVP frontrunner, improved to 10-0 all-time against Atlanta. Chris Godwin hauled in a franchise record 15 receptions for 143 yards, while Leonard Fournette and Cameron Brate also caught touchdowns.

The Buccaneers racked up 425 yards of offense, which will only further solidify their number one offensive rating per DVOA. Defensively, Tampa Bay sacked Matt Ryan five times, and also picked him off once. In two games versus Ryan and the Falcons this season, the Buccaneers have compiled 12 sacks, while forcing four turnovers.

It wasn’t all good news for the Bucs however. Cornerback Jamel Dean was knocked out of the game with a concussion, while fellow DB Sean Murphy-Bunting suffered an undisclosed injury. Defensive end William Gholston suffered a leg injury, while RB Ronald Jones left the game due to an illness.

Buffalo Bills Betting Analysis

If you’re a fan of high-scoring, pass heavy games hopefully you didn’t tune into Patriots-Bills on Monday Night Football. In nasty weather conditions, the two teams racked up just 164 passing yards, 145 of which came from Josh Allen. The $258 million dollar man completed only 50% of his passes though, while the Buffalo running game mustered less than 100 yards.

Defensively, the Bills gave up repeated, big chunk running plays to the Pats, despite New England’s refusal to throw the ball. The Pats ran the ball 46 times, while only attempting three passes.

Buffalo entered the week league leading in yards allowed, while ranking second in scoring defense, but will be hard pressed to slow down the Bucs’ offense. All-Pro corner Tre’Davious White is done for the season with a knee injury, while the Bills defense has shown cracks in the armour at times. They gave up 34 points to the Titans in Week 6, and 41 points to the Colts in Week 11.

Bills vs Buccaneers Line Movement

The lookahead line for this contest was Bucs -3, and neither team did anything to deserve being up or downgraded. Tampa Bay took care of a terrible Atlanta team like everyone expected, while Buffalo’s game predictably went down the wire. The Bills offense didn’t look great, but they were dealing with 35 mph winds.

There’s a chance that Tampa Bay draws some extra action this week not based on Week 13’s results, but rather based on Allen’s play this season. He’s looked nothing like the dominant he player he was in 2020, and has thrown seven interceptions in his last five games.

Next to Brady, Allen’s 3,200 yards and 26 TD passes look pedestrian. We shouldn’t expect much line movement ahead of kickoff, but if it happens it will be towards the Bucs.
