  • Rams coming off of disappointing home loss to Buccaneers
  • Their Super Bowl odds have faded from +750 to +1400
  • Is now the time to jump on the Rams as a Super Bowl bet?

The Los Angeles Rams were looking to stay undefeated when they took on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Los Angeles, but they were thoroughly outplayed on both sides of the ball as they gave up 55 points in an eventual 55-40 loss.

Following the disappointing loss, books changed their Super Bowl odds from +750 entering Week 4 to now +1400 following Week 4.

Have the Rams Been Exposed?

Entering Week 3, ahead of the loss, the Rams odds to win the Super Bowl were +750 which was the third best in the league and shortest in the NFC.

Now, however, the Rams have fallen to +1400 and have the sixth-best odds and fourth in the NFC behind the Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints, and Philadelphia Eagles.

The team did not look impressive and struggled from the get-go. The defense, which was supposed to remain of championship caliber, got continually exploited in the back end from the vertical passing game of the Bucs.

Jared Goff’s struggles continued, as he threw some brutal interceptions and didn’t look in sync for most of the afternoon.

Are They Worth Betting?

Even though they are coming off of a very lackluster game, the Rams are worth betting at this new value, as I still believe they will be representing the NFC in the Super Bowl come February.

There is no question it was a bad performance, but the Rams will most likely take this defeat as a wakeup call and Sean McVay will be able to keep the group motivated with the blowout in the back of their minds.

“It’s a wake-up call for everybody,” Rams coach Sean McVay said after the game, via ESPN.

Although Goff threw for over 500 yards, he still threw costly interceptions and just didn’t have the right reads on certain plays.

“There’s going to be lot of things we can go back and look at,” McVay said. “I loved the way that he continued to battle, took some shots, continued to respond.”

Even though the loss was not a good one, I still believe the Rams will be Super Bowl-bound this year again, and there, anything can happen. So, right now, they are a very good bet and absolutely worth betting at +1400.

Pick: Los Angeles Rams (+1400)
